So, I've been on the patch for a month. My boobs are getting bigger (Exhibit A: AV), I am gaining weight (but could be due to other factors), my cramps were not as bad as they have been, but still bad and my usual 2-3 days of heavy flow has turned into 5 and counting days of moderate flow.

I'm not happy. But at least I wasn't woken up in the middle of the night with horrible cramps and nausea.

So. Do I give it another month?

I would. Give it one more month..see if it regulates out.

Have you consider something like the IUD? (I hated mine..just asking).

I can't live with the kind of cramps I was having before. But, I'm panicked about the weight and the boobs. I'm hoping the cramps will get even better after another month. But, God, if I have to have 5 or 6 days of my period I'm not going to be happy.

There are other pills you could try if this doesn't work. I know that the tri-cyclen really helped a friend of mine with hers.

The patch only comes in one dose. And I want to avoid the pill if possible since I'm bad about remembering to take it.

You never answered..have you considered the IUD?
The Mirena one has hormones in it..many women lose their period entirely, and the cramps change.

I haven't even considered that as an option. What was your experience with it?

Well...it didn't work well for me. You will have a couple months where you spot daily. Mine lasted 3 months. No real period..no cramps.

i had mine removed after 4 months. Long story. I can PM it to you if youd like. I'm not willing to post it.
