The lone warrior

OOC: I'm sorry I haven't been here for some time but I just moved and I couldn't get internet connection for the first couple of days.
IC: It seemed that this guy, Tyrael was an archangel, or at least an angel, after all. And now we were inside a castle hidden by the magic of a wizard after having escaped from an army of dead people.
If they had friends using magic, then they would probably not distrust me if they found out about the powers I possessed. I suddenly felt a little guilty that I had held back on my powers when facing the dead. It hadn't taken a very large concentration of The Power to cut the thin bond that held the corpses to their 'lives'.
Although I couldn't have done much against all those we had been attacked by, I could at least have released more of them than I had done. In the middle of the battle, none of my companions had realised when one of the walking deads, seemingly without any reason, fell to the ground and stopped moving.
I was looking forward to meeting this mage king. Maybe I would be able to recognize his name from what the old man had told me before I left.

Kristoff:

I bowed as King Cherik Stood."Stand up old friend," he said. He turned to the others and said "Welcome to Corashaun,"."Its been years,Id thought you were killed in the last war,"He said to me amazed I was still alive."Its not that easy to get rid of me,"told him.I nodded to Hesta,"She saved my life,"I said.

Cherik called me to his side,"And she's quite lovely," he whispered. I nodded. He turned to the others, "Any friend to my brother,is a friend to me,". i went back to the rest of them."Welcome yourselves to anything, eat , drink sleep, and you have full roam of the castle," He informed."Except my chambers,"He laughed. "Your all quite safe, the barrior outside protects us from pure evil entering here," He said."You may all go,"He said...

Lothak looked at Tyrael, "I have no idea, I never knew that this place existed until now. And that is strange seeming as it is only a few miles from my home," Lothak said, looking around the large room. He then turned and looked at the king but he had never seen this person before and that he found weird and a little disturbing.

Hesta looked around at all the goings on and saw the dark elf's look of suspicion. She knew how he felt-in these times of destruction and war, it was hard to accept things at face value.

"Well, I could do with a bath and something to eat," She said to no one in particular,"And a good nights rest would be welcome also."

Tyrael wordlessly moved up to his chambers and grabbed a hand to his stomach. He had suddenly had a feeling of nausea from just sitting down. He felt uneasy, as though an angel or demon had died. Then it hit him. The Angel-demon war had at last started and he could do absolutely nothing about it!

Lothak noticed Tyrael's reaction to something and walked quickly over to where he stood, "What is is, is there something very wrong with the world?"
He placed his hand on Tyrael's shoulder and the first thing that he felt was the pain that was going through the archangel's body and wondered what was going on to cause this person so much pain?

Kristoff:

I motioned one of the female servants over."Show the young lady where she may bath and rest and get her some food,"I told her."Yes sir," She said and hurried to hesta...

A shudder passed through Tyrael. "Yes, I'm afraid. The inevitable has begun. Tell, them, tell all of them, that the forces of Heaven and Hell are on the Mortal Plane!" he exclaimed, viewing the battle. He watched as the Tarasque lost his weapon to a greater angel, only pick up the angel and bite his neck, causing his head loll off in one direction at a disgusting angle. Then, the Tarasque picked up his weapon once more and leapt into the fray. Somewhere in the middle stood Izual, slaughtering all that came close. He spied Baal, the Archdemon of Destruction laugh wildly, as he broiled an angel by making the angel's blood hit 2000 degrees. But the demons had their fair share of deaths as well. Lesser demons and simple Demons(the most basic form) died and fought with a frenzied madness.

Lothak's eyes widened, "The war has begun. But that is impossible, I did not think that the demons could ever get back onto the mortal realm."
He then looked at Tyrael and saw the expression on his face and knew that the archangel was telling the truth. The war that every cleric had feared was indeed happening and if not stopped would destroy everything forever.

He stood and rushed over to the throne and said in his loudest voice, "Sire, I have something grave to tell you and I must tell you now."

I listened quietly when he told us that the angel-demon war had begun, but my insides was boiling.
This was exactly what the old man had sent me out to prevent. To close the gates to hell before all the Greater Demons escaped, starting the war. I had failed, but there hadn't been anything I could have done was there. I was never near one of the gates. But I still had the gloomy feeling that I should have done something.
Lothak was about to tell the king what Tyrael had felt.

"Sire, a great war has started, a demon-angel war. If not stopped this war will destroy everything and everyone around it and lay waste to the land. It could also destroy our very existence. Tyrael and I have felt one of the battles and it is going very badly for the angels. If you will permit me sire I would like to take and look at everything that you have on the demon gates because I think that is the way that they have gotten out of hell."

Lothak then pulled the hood back of his cloak and everyone gasped when they saw his face.
"Please sire, I implore you. Help us, I ask you not as a dark elf, which I know are the most untrusted race in the lands but I ask you as a paladin and hope that you will listen and help us."

Hesta was about to follow the woman when everything happened in a flurry. She watched as Lothak reveiled himself and nodded at the faces of distrust she saw in the crowds.

Stepping by the dark elf's side, she placed a hand lightly on his shoulder to show support for his cause. "I beg you, Sire," She said,"To grant this honorable man's request. I have been traveling with him and he has never done anything that could be taken the least bit for evil."

"I also stood next to him as he watched his city destroyed by the evil that now roams the land and I saw sorrow in his face for people who were not his own by anything other than friendship and loyalty."

Looking around at all the faces in the room, she continued,"If he can show those emotions for those of us who would judge him by his skin, why can we not put aside our prejudice and offer him our services in order to futher his cause and-maybe-save us all."

Turning to Lothak, she said,"I, for one, offer my services. I do not know how good of a research assistant I shall be but my time is yours."

Cherik:

"Kristoff,Take them to the library,I think your find all the information you need there,Because I have felt this brewing for some time," I said as kristoff motioned for them to follow him."They better take care of my brother," I said as they walked away...

As we were walking towards the library, I reached a decision. Much time would be saved if I just told them what I knew and time was of great importance now.
"Instead of searching this library for maybe days, I can answer most of your questions about the angel-demon war," I said. They all turned their faces to me, startlement glowing from them. "I have stuided this matter for the last 6 years so I should know something."
It seemed like they were going to say something, but I didn't pause to let them. "I guess what we seek is a way to kill the demons. Although I don't think there's any way to do this to the Simple Demons and Lesser Demons, other than slaying them like you would normally, the Greater Demons are bound to their own parts of Hell. If we shut of the gates they entered through before they can escape, it will either destroy them or wound them badly when they are forced back to their own plane of existance." Actually I almost quoted what Garikia had told me, but the amazed looks they gave me, still gave me a sudden feeling of satisfaction.

Kristoff:

I pulled my sword and had it at the boys thraot."YOu knew and you said nothing to us,I should kill you," I said...

Lothak drew one of his scimitars and let it rest lightly against Kristoff's throat.
"Drop the sword. The boy has told us everything that he knows and the only reason that he didn't tell us earlier is because he didn't know whether to trust us."

Seeing that Kristoff wasn't going to drop his sword I spoke more firmly, using one of the gifts that his god had given him and said, "Drop the sword, please Kristoff or I will be forced to kill you. I do not wish to do so but if you will continue on this course then I will."

Kristoff:

"You know very well that if any harm comes to me here, none of you will walk out of here alive," i said. But I lowered my weapon, glaring at lothak...

I saw the look that Kristoff gave me and as I slid my scimitar back into its scabbard said, "I was not going to harm you but I can not see innocent blood spilt. It is against the code that I have and I will do anything to stop that from happening, but I will not take another good person to their death so I was not going to kill you, just disarm you."

Hesta

Hesta scowled at all three men.
"It matters not when we recieved the information. The question is what are we to do with it? How are we to close these portals and how many are there?"

'The boy told us everything he knows,' he said. I kept the same calm face as before, but inside, I was close to laughing. What I had told them wasn't even a tenth of what I knew about this. I wasn't going to reveal my abilities though I decided, when I saw how Kristoff reacted to the information I gave them. There's was a little arguing, also consisting of a couple of drawn weapons, one of these at my throat and then Kristoff spoke again.
"Anything else you know boy?"
"What do you wish to know. I could probably tell you more if I knew what you want to know about." Now my face changed again into a mask of seriousness and confusion, not revealing how much I actually knew about this subject.

"If I may?" interrupted Tyrael. "Actually, the Greater Dmons will still be alive on this world. They will not be dmaged at all. But the Arch-Demons will be thrown back to their kingdoms of Hell. And without the Arch-Demons, the others will retreat. That also means that we must close all 9 Hells-gates. The nine gates are: Destruction, Terror, Hate, Pain, Anguish, Darkness, Death, Fire, and Fear. These symbolize the power of their Arch-Demons", said Tyrael, satating what he had once told his army before they had selaed the gates 1,000,000 years ago.

"Ummm, yes. The Arch-demons. That's what I meant."
Damn, the old man had told me it was the Greater Demons who would be thrown out, but his information seemed to be a little incorrect. And in addition, Tyrael had just said all what I was going to mention.
Reluctantly, unsure if this was also something the old man had told me wrong about, I went on. "As far as I remember, to seal the gates you have to use the exact opposite of what they stand for. There's just some of them I'm unable to see opposites for. Terror and pain for example and I don't really see how you can use life against the death portal so I may be wrong."
Damn, this was making me seem like a fool.

"Actually, to seal them, you must beat it's Arch-Demon in single combat", said Tyrael, feeling another wave of nausea as another battle was won by the demons.
