The Living Works of Art Challenge

Time to return to Michelangelo. Within his Sistine Chapel masterpiece are 20 seated male figures known as the Ignudi. Your next challenge is to pose to represent one. In particular, this is the one I had in mind:

However, you are welcome to do any of the 20 you wish. I simply ask if you choose a different one, that you include a photo of the one you have chosen along with your rendition.

Thank you, lovely Emma. I was just there, in fact.;)

And you didn't tell me :caning:
But do hope you had fun, I love going to the Met , me and museums = heaven.
And loving the next challenge, and can't wait to see yours and all the others, this is such a great thread.

I must apologize, I seem to have implied more than I meant. I was in NYC last night, but did not make it to the Met. Perhaps next time.

Eventually...

So we had some fun and games trying to take this picture. JRP, please forgive my stealing your "hosepipe" idea! Everyone else, please ignore any lack of similarity with the original statue - we had to grab the quickest of opportunities to take this when the owner of the villa wasn't looking. ;)

That’s a great rendition of a difficult pose Hornblende. The outdoor lighting and garden backdrop really help bring everything together. I’m certain that your photographic assistant (or is it photographer) maintained a watchful eye and teasing assistance. ;):D

Great background for this one Hornblende, I love it, it's so well done and outdoorsy, kudos to you!!

Fantastic. I can see that it was fun to shoot as well.

That serpent gets around. Here, it's caught in a fine rendition bravely set in the outdooors. Hat's off to you.

The owner of the villa missed a good looking opportunity. Very nicely done.

Oh yes, she can always be relied on for teasing assistance! Thanks, tnman!

Yes, the background was ideal, but perilously overlooked! The whole shoot had to last about 30 seconds! Thank you, dear Tali! :rose:

Definitely! Thank you, Icy!

Cheers, MrG!

Great photo!

Thank you, lovely woman!

I doubt she would have approved... Thanks MsG! :rose:

I initially looked at the current LWoA Challenge presented by JRP and wondered how much artistic license Michelangelo took with human anatomy. Then I tried some problem solving via a few feasibility attempts. In the end and with the absence of a garden bench or divan I tried variations of chairs. I’m attaching two different representative attempts while also managing not to fall off the chairs. LOL.

I love the fact that you were outside naked taking an artsy photo. Makes me smile! Great rendition... and nice tan! ;)

These are great, I especially love the second pose. If only it weren't so... shady.

These are both really good tnman! Yowza! They both show off those great legs you have going on there!!

You and Hornblende need to do a paired picture with your legs, you both have great legs! :)

Thanks Kimleigh - I love being naked outdoors - the police have yet to catch me...:D

"Take up gardening," they said.

"It will help you with your anger issues," they said.

They were all fucking wrong. The rabbits have ravaged his green beans, the corn got blight and Laocoon has gotten himself hopelessly tangled in the hose. His sons were no help either, as they had taken off to the beach where they believed they had been promised a gift of Trojan whores. On a side note: people should really enunciate better.

Terrific photo JR glad you gave up on the hand and armless assistants in the shot :D
