The lit old timers thread

Bluesboy inherited a bunch when his father passed. Blues had a bad back and decided the first thing purchased would be a new bed. It had been a while (many many years) since he'd bed-shopped. After trying several, he loved the temperpedic and decided he wouldn't be happy unless he got that one. I'd never seen all the blood drain from his face before -- but it did when he paid for that bed. Still makes me laugh to remember. He thought it would be "a few hundred" bucks. But damnation it's STILL a nice bed. He died a year and a half ago and I thank him every night for buying that awesome bed before I go to sleep. I get in it, and it accepts me as one of its own.
Jesus. That’s a kick to the heart.

Wow, lots of people from 2002-3 and 4 still around. That's amazing, about 20 years worth. I've been out for a number of years; traveling, working, reading and taking more classes. It's nice to check in now and then. I recognize many of the names on here, it's nice to see. Any observations about being a "20 year" veteran?

I'm sorry for your loss. My memory is a bit fuzzy about the long past, but didn't you meet him here?

I didn't know Bluesboy died. I'm sorry for your loss.

My sister and her husband had separate bedrooms because he snored something awful. He died in his sleep, and now she sleeps in his bed because it makes her feel closer to him. I couldn't do that, I don't think, but different strokes.

I don't think I could. I might want to but I just don't think I could.

I am so sorry for your loss.
My parents have a temper pedi and love it.

Been here a while so I can be classified as an oldtimer. I check in almost every day but I've never said much and still don't unless a topic strikes my fancy. Since they made the PB I'm spending much more time there and on the AH now. The PB because it's entertaining to see the crazy goings over there. The AH because I've gotten more into writing and posted a few more stories than in my early years here and need as much help as possible to cure my bad writing habits. Lots of names I recognize. Hola to those who know me.
