Does margarine need to be keep in the fridge or can it be left out?

And it goes rancid faster. Be safe.. keep it in the fridge.

Personally, I wouldn't store margarine at room temperature for more than a day or so. Accidentally leaving it out overnight wouldn't be horrible, but I wouldn't do it on purpose.

It's just that all of my appliances are the same age and I don't want to face the prospect of a few months of disasters having to replace all of them around the same time. Denial is a good approach sometimes in life.
