Ask your useless/helpful questions here and let fellow Lit. people answer your questions.

I'll start...

Does margarine need to be keep in the fridge or can it be left out?

It can be left out.. but it changes the texture, color and taste of it.

And it goes rancid faster. Be safe.. keep it in the fridge.

The coolest kitchen gadget ever: The Butter Bell

Personally, I wouldn't store margarine at room temperature for more than a day or so. Accidentally leaving it out overnight wouldn't be horrible, but I wouldn't do it on purpose.

What is

The maximum airspeed velocity of a swallow carrying a coconut?

For an African Swallow?

For a European Swallow?

You did say "useless" questions are acceptable?

Just wondering...

why my dishwasher is making noises that it hasn't made before in 15 years. You know the kind, the ones that sound like they come right before you see a big puddle of water on the kitchen floor...

Thank you for the info. I left out the margarine when I left for work this morning and was wondering if it was still ok. Back into the fridge it goes.

:D

I have a question..

Why would you eat the red ones last anyway??

:D

I suppose a "you sound like my grandmother" crack wouldn't be very nice, right? :D

hehe... no, I'd laugh.

It's just that all of my appliances are the same age and I don't want to face the prospect of a few months of disasters having to replace all of them around the same time. Denial is a good approach sometimes in life. :D
