Very underwhelmed by the trailer. Not sure why everyone thinks its so great.
And why reinvent him? The best Jokers don't have a backstory, it's what makes them great. Not knowing why he's so fucked up makes it more fun.

Batman keeps the lights on at DC. Suprisingly not Superman. So retelling and reselling Batman and all related charectors is how the game is played. Joaquin Phoenix is the perfect nut to pick up that torch.

Johnny Depp would have made a great Joker.

Joaquin Phoenix is no Heath Ledger so it’s gonna be a hard to convince me the actor for Johnny Cash can play the Joker.

Besides, there are other movies I’m more hyped to see: Avengers Endgame, Godzilla - King of the monsters, Spider-Man - homecoming 2, and IT part 2
