On second thought, Minnesota doesn't need to 'protect election polls' from 'the antifas'

Tuesday, October 27, 2020 by Hannah Jones in News

"I’m holding Atlas Aegis to account for their misstatements about recruiting security
for polling places in Minnesota that potentially frightened Minnesota voters,”
Ellison said in a statement. “They won’t be doing it again and will not be anywhere
in Minnesota before, during, or after Election Day.”.

"...the rally he held in Minnesota Friday night was smaller than usual because of state limits
on gatherings. The president publicly blasted those state officials for limiting the crowd at
his rally to only 250 people."

Trump appears very tired at this rally in MN, slowly moving through his prepared remarks.

Trump continues to say that Minnesota should have activated the National Guard
two weeks before it did during this spring's violence, which would have meant
activating the Guard a week and a half before George Floyd was killed.

One of the local union headquarters is hosting the giant Trump Baby this weekend, so we went out to get our pictures taken with it.

I try to see a few candidates every election cycle, but the only one we got to see before campaigning ended was Beto O'Rourke last September. But this was an acceptable substitute.

Trump rally in MN set up for social distancing as required by state officials.
But still a big crowd outside venue not doing much distancing.

CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta posted video that featured
supporters of President Donald Trump moving their chairs closer together before
Trump’s first-ever socially-distanced rally — as NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” blared
over the PA system.

Acosta wrote.

“Rally hasn’t started but some in crowd began to move their chairs together
and then were asked to put them back the way they were.”

Acosta also posted photos that included Trump bypassing the socially-distanced-ish
supporters to head for the overflow crowd.

Trump just got in motorcade. Appears to be heading to overflow crowd gathered
outside event where they are not doing social distancing. The folks who are social
distancing inside the venue don’t know what’s happening.

Trump has literally and figuratively left Americans out in the cold

Trump has left us a poorer, sicker and angrier nation than when he moved into the White
House in 2017. He has filled his coffers but left us all out in the cold.

'...when he (Trump) himself became ill, he made sure he was treated in a state-of-the-art
fashion, including receiving an experimental drug cocktail and remdesivir. Good luck on
getting ahold of it if you get sick. It’s not approved for general use. Unlike the president,
you’re out in the cold."

CNN’s Alisyn Camerota asked Trump spokesman Hogan Gidley this week whether he was concerned about Vice President Pence’s upcoming rally in Wisconsin, which could prove to be a superspreader event. “Hospitals in Wisconsin are near capacity. Does that give you any pause, or the vice president any pause, about going there and holding a big rally?” she said.

“No, it doesn’t,” said Gidley, apparently thinking of whether Pence might be contagious — since several of his aides recently tested positive for the coronavirus — but not worrying about any rally attendees who could easily infect each other. “The vice president has the best doctors in the world around him, they’ve obviously contact-traced and have come to the conclusion that it’s fine for him to be out on the campaign trail."

Thousands were bussed into the rally site in Rome, Georgia
Sorry, no busses to return you to your car
Narrow road, too much traffic

Some of the folks left stranded were older and disabled

“Some of the folks left stranded were older and disabled. Multiple people tried to hitch rides
from strangers amid the pandemic,” tweeted Julie Tsirkin from NBC News, who was at the
scene. She added that the only route in and out of the event location was a single, narrow
road.

Single narrow road to get in and out of the rally site was shared by pedestrians, cars,
busses, emergency vehicles.

Who is paying for that fence ? The city of the District of Columbia. The DC Police
Department bought the fence, along with anti-riot weapons and supplies- tear gas,
“less-lethal” munitions" that can take out an eye, crack a skull, break an arm.

Strange, that the DC Police Department kills a victim, using an unmarked SUV,
and intensifies BLM protests- DC police are on the streets using tear gas and
flash bang bombs.

400 attendees at the WH results viewing party. Exceeds DC's gatherings limit, but WH is on Federal land, so...........

.........hence also why it's masks-optional.

If Biden wins I'm driving up to Dixville Notch and buying ALL of the town's residents breakfast, lunch, AND dinner.

God there are a lot of stupid people in this country.

He should only be getting ten percent of the vote.

Politico's Tim Elliott lays the story out- We have been here, before.

America Is Eerily Retracing Rome’s Steps to a Fall. Will It Turn Around Before It’s Too Late?

Two thousand years ago, the famous Republic had a chance to reject a dangerous populist.

It failed, and the rest is history.

Are there protests against what Tim Elliot has written ?

Potential cries against the argument-

Civilization has advanced! We have advanced eletronic technology!

Strangely, much that has new potential benefit has been used to advance evils.

just no-one ask me to feel sorry for anyone attending if they get sick
(even if i will pity any one of them who suffer really badly)

Grateful everything has been peaceful so far.

Lots of peaceful protester were arrested across the country last night. I’m not sure if the people trying to force their way into various counties that are still counting votes can be considered peaceful.

There are a shitload of ads on CNN. It's unbelievably annoying. Maybe I'm just used to the BBC.
