I hope this one stays true and captures the book as best it can. The made for TV version those many years ago was okay, only thanks to Tim Curry.

My sister read someplace that this might only be the first of a planned two movie series, like the the book and TV series was split.

This first movie is going to be about the kids and the losers club, with the next film being them as adults, thirty years later.

for the most part, i hate remakes.

not for reasons of nostalgia, but for a lack of creativity.
sing your own songs, write your own books, make your own movies.

an homage is one thing, a "retelling" is altogether different
