Maybe.

I'm figuring the only reason to make another visual telling of the book when nobody asked for it is to go beyond the first version, which was fair. Just taking advantage of better CGI to tell the same story with more flash is bunk.

Also, Stranger Things, which is heavily influenced by King's oeurve for the better, is the reigning upstart with a similar vibe. They'll both be on networks within a month of each other in a sort of competition.
