You are so thoughtful! I couldn't make the drive because it is too long (close to 7 hours round trip). It's possible you'd have fun making the drive - but I wouldn't be with you - and that would definitely NOT be fun for me. :rose: Right now T has to learn if she can take her husbands large car for the trip. Then T and R will have to go over their schedules together - and then even agreed-upon times and dates may have to be changed depending upon when the seller is home. This is all planning which I can not take part in so I'm restless and fidgety.

I like it. It looks like a house for tiny Draculas.

And yes I suppose I could come along, you may need someone with my looks and charm to flirt us out of traffic tickets. Which is relevant becaaaauuuse..... I suggest we find a vintage Citroën 2CV for the trip. Elle is a real driver, Tink you're on shotgun. I'll man the vampire cannon since it will be hanging from the window like we were sailing Ol' Ironsides across Europe. Lunch is on you guys ;-)

I fb and I could go. We have already established at least one of us would make it back. Probably him. Either way, three or two at the end, it would be fun💋 We'd make you giggle a lot :)

A tiny house for Draculas! Perhaps for Halloween I could decorate it with a bat-mobile! Little bats dancing around the crown.

I love you both heaps - and I'm already giggling a bunch!

I'll tag along just to man IFB's cannon.

That would be so much fun, and I am certain one day it will be entirely possible for an adventure together. I'm working as hard as I can right now to make sure it happens. Can't wait to squeeze the bejeesus outta both of you!

Hi GS - nice to meet you! Thank you. I do hope I can manage it. I think a couple of my girlfriends are willing to make the road trip for me. The factory which produced these stoves was called Godthaab which translates to Good Hope. I really like that.

There are some beautiful ones out there. I saw one like mine but it was all glossy white with a golden crown and golden fixtures and doors. So pretty but much too regal for my humble home.

G'day darling! Lovely to meet you too! Good Hope. I like that too. Reminds me of Superman's S.

Christ, that's lovely.
Hi Fata :) I live in a small apartment so I will have to enjoy it by using bioethanol - but I'm comfortable with that. The fella's coming over in a few months and offered to pick it up for me on his way home to me. Bless his fool head. I reckon it's better he stay off the roads

Whoa, pull out the nastymat, why not? GIDDYUP! This is going to be an epic roadtrip. Is there anywhere along the way that we can stop to go swimming? Anyone fancy a camp out? A nice fire....some food, some spirits...

Also this may not be the most uplifting topic but we will need to plan to keep Elle in plenty of snacks since I recently heard she will go cannibal quickly and unexpectedly if faced with dwindling options. I'd like to make it home with all me bits and bobs attached after such an enticing offer from my best girl!

Well I can't swim as terrified of water but I'm happy to sit by the fire and read a book. Also I am scared of creepy crawlies in particular spiders. Praps I'll stay in hotels along the way and catch up during the day. Mind you I get desperately travel sick so probably not the best companion for a road trip. However, I'm fine with cannibalism and not overly bothered about bumping into Ted Bundy types along the way (Ted was great, just misunderstood). I'll work out the small details like this whilst oiling your canon.

Denmark is surrounded by water so there will be many bathing opportunities depending on your bravery. Perhaps we could stuff the Vampire Cannon with Elle-friendly snacks. I have to insist on some of those being a variety of Danish cheeses. Gamle Ole is very tasty but it smells like old gym socks so we will have to tie that one to the bonnet/hood. (I am loving the idea of opening the little stove doors with wee little handles and knobs to go foraging for Danish Bleu bites!)

I do not think a 2cv is up to a stove :(. And love a 2cv so much. How great a trip it would be!!

IFB, I volunteered to be eaten first.

You KNOW how much I want to go camping !!
Good thing IFB will be with because I'm not terribly knowledgeable about it. I was on a 3 week camping trip but that was "glamping" in my opinion because our van had a fridge and stovetop in it. I remember triumphantly claiming it was true camping when we were in Italy because I foraged the hillside for rosemary and thyme to add to our dinner. :D

Very well. A comparably charming ride of some sort that will accommodate everyone and their accouterments, and the vampire cannon will have to be selected. I think the Weinermobile would be fun but not sure how practical. So somewhere between a 2CV and the Weinermobile. It's important to me that the cannon hang from the window like an old warship.

And you're not fooling anyone by volunteering to be eaten first. I'm perfectly happy with beef jerky and pale ale. But it seems not all of us are....

Um, yeah,,,,,no.

I use to be a bit of a speedy girl. I broke the speedometre on both mine. One day my father followed me on a motorway telephoned me and told me I better slow down and what speed I was doing. I have never find that fast in any other car.

I also got a ticket going uk hill in my 2cv which j could not pay because j had moved and my papers were off having the address changed so it ended up in court and got laughed out, even though I was quite prepared to pay it. No one would believe it.

I never speed now and shudder at my childish selfishness,

How fast were you GOING, in the 2CV?

I find this surprising and hilarious!

All this Dansk makes me smile. :)

I worked for a guy called Ole, from Kongens Lyngby, for nearly 8 years...
I have driven through but never been to stay. :)
