The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

I like that women have all these holes they sometimes like to feel penises go inside of.

This is how to bang Fata.

why not give her a can of corn like the rest of us?

why do you always have to be special??

anyone watched Free Guy yet? is funny, and quirky, and poignant

The film stars Taika Waititi, Ryan Reynolds, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, and Joe Keery, as well as YouTuber Pokimane, Ninja, and Jacksepticeye.

Seems crazy to turn down a vaccination when people in third world countries will be waiting years for their first one.
I read 1 in 500 Americans have died from covid. Include the ones who've had serious cases and that's a large number of people. 'My body, my choice' and 'freedom from medical tyranny' isn't working out so well for people out west. 🤨

I keep toying with this theory in my mind, and I wonder what you think of it.
Or if you have another theory for the difference in popullations attitudes.

So, to start with:
Scandinavian /German/ Baltic countries /Australasia/Canada have had anti-lockdown protests too (fearing an economic crash),
but protesters tend to be masked & to abide by SD rules, and willing to take vaccines.
They have their anti-maskers/anti-vaxxers too, but in far lesser numbers.

Whereas in the US /Russia /Romania/Bolgaria
the "muh freedom muh body no masks no vaccines" movement found a good soil.

Unless I'm mistaken about above, Why do you think that might be?

Difference in attitudes towards the State, since US /Eastern Europe understandably mistrust their corrupt govts.?
(and Faucci didn't help either when he lied that masks are useless, given the initial shortage of PPE's.)
-- I'm not saying that anti-maskers are right, just that even the most illogical conclusions sometimes have a partly logical premise

Or is it because, for political gain and subversion, paid right-wing local or foreign instigators have been more active in US / Russia?

???
What do you think?
Yes, anti-maskers anti-vaxxers are without doubt idiots, but the movement is far too large and global to be just about that.

The initial wave of double jabbed are not getting boosters or are not bothering.

I was talking about the booster with my mother yesterday. Being immunosuppressed, the vaccine may not actually give her any meaningful protection, and in order to get the vaccine she has to allow into her home, and into her personal space, a person who spends all day, every day, seeing large numbers of sick people... It's probably not worth the risk. She's opting to live inside a bubble instead, with everything entering the house via a bleach bath, and guests sitting 10 feet away outside.

This is probably the rest of her life. Surreal times!

I would advise her to rethink her strategy. She needs the booster jab more than anyone. And the person administering the jab would be fully aware of your mothers condition, so every precaution would be taken to assure that there was no transmission from their end.

She will never be able to fully insulate / isolate herself from the outside world for any number of reasons (and why would she want to?) and therefore should be as personally resistant to the virus as possible.

JMTCW.

Yeah, Immunosuppressed!

Even with the jab, the virus would almost certainly kill her. Her specialist has told her it probably wouldn't take, but they still advise having it. They tell her that, double vaccinated as she is, she still has to shield completely, so the "why would she want to?" sounds pretty shitty, considering she has no choice, whichever option she goes for. Whatever precautions the vaccine giver takes, she's gambling her life on it working.

She's had no detectable immune cells in her bloods on multiple occasions. There's really fuck all you can do except hold your bubble as long as possible. Pre-plague she already couldn't be around the public, eat food she hadn't cooked herself, or see anyone who had been in contact with anyone who was ill.

Sometimes shit can't be fixed.

You're up earlyish... but then so am I.
I hear ya - if there's nothing left in her body to produce a reaction then she has no choice. That lifestyle would drive me crazy: I mean I don't like people generally but I still need them around and get a hug occasionally. It must have freaked her out when you caught it. Have you had any jabs since? ( Sorry not keeping up )

I'm double vaccinated, and I should be good for a booster in the new year.

I hadn't seen her for weeks when I got it, because we had no faith in government policy and she'd been fully isolating. She seems to be coping OK, which is surprising. She's never been one for physical contact anyway, which must make it easier.

I've been up since 3  the ape has a cold this week, and the snoring is outrageous!
What's got you up early?

They said I can't get the third shot. I don't have enough health problems.

Think I'll go a different route.

Immune compromised and have taken immune suppressants. Was vaccinated a third time in September and live life as I always have.

Sames here. I started being cautious long before the govt finally made moves.... and since too, though we don't have to worry so much about surfaces anymore, just other people. I wear a mask into shops - for the staff as much as the breathers. Never went to clubs so no loss... besides I don't want to be spiked with rohypnol

So far as I know I won't be in line for a booster because of my yuff.

I was up for work so I posted with coffee and toast.

I've watched the first 15 minutes of Squid Game and I do not see the fascination. Still, there is a global fascination with the show, so I'll give it a full episode or two.
