burst a hydraulic hose on the backhoe while doing some yardwork. hopefully the new hose that "replaced" the original lasts as long as the original.

I remember the rollagon blowing a fitting after the job on the way home. Huge pool of hydraulic on the gravel road, right in front of BP's main camp in Prudhoe. The operators kept going on auxiliary. You might not be able to track down a normal wheeled vehicle, but it was damned easy for the security guys to track down a leaky rollogon. I pity the guy who had to do the paperwork.
 
My hands hate me. Weather has been better and I've been able to be outside doing things. Now they're complaining and cramping up.

In some climate change movie, an oil worker said they'd bring equipment on "rolligaunts." I wondered what is a rolligaunt. Rolligon. A truck with big tires.
 
30 years ago today (Sept 24th, 1991): RedHot Chili Peppers "Blood Sugar Sex Magic" Nirvana's "Nevermind" and A Tribe Called Quest's "Low End Theory" all dropped. Pearl Jam's "10" came out a month later. All undoubted classics.

I do not get it.
Children don’t need spanking necessarily, but they should understand that if you do things that are not allowed/dangerous/illegal there will be a consequence and it won’t be all fun and games.

You’re in the USA, so finding that special guy to hit your kids shouldn’t be a problem.

Tried to make a reservation at my favourite restaurant, it’s been a few years. Completely booked. Oh well.
 
I may be tooting my own horn but I have to say I’m impressed that I’ve been able to maintain this level of fitness for 35 years. I mean, I’m basically a mattress for babies to sleep on but I’m okay with that. My new avatar should be Grandpa Serta.
