so was pouring last night and this morning before clearing out to sunshine, passing clouds and a brisk cool breeze.

today's been a round of laundry loads–washing, drying, putting away–, deseeding a zillion little sweet peppers, hanging the new curtains when they arrived, coffee

i could use a nap but the laundry's not all dried yet and the last load still will need hanging up. the leaves are falling like rain with the gusty breeze, and the dog is mucho happy the humidity/heat combo is done.

What is up with this “no consequence” style of parenting?
I do not get it.
Children don’t need spanking necessarily, but they should understand that if you do things that are not allowed/dangerous/illegal there will be a consequence and it won’t be all fun and games.
