Totes underrated, one of my faves. Had expected a disposable B-movie yarn, not a dense thriller. I Netflixed that one a while back for a bar movie night at my former spot and was riveted to the screen, knocking back drinks.

It has a few flaws in execution, but it's smart sci-fi. There's a website dedicated to dissecting its layers and Easter eggs if you do a search under the title.

Saw their plane this afternoon at the airport - they're playing a show in Vancouver.

I didn't think they'd have such a big plane. 'Ed Force One' looks like a 747 Jumbo.

I remember the fencing. He was world class caliber if I recall correctly.

Weird Dickenson story. About 20 years ago or so, I received an MP3 player as a gift(we're talking pre-iPod days) and I had loaded some Maiden tunes on it. I was in New York, just walking around with earbuds in and just happened to be listening to Running Free, from Live After Death. Glanced up and caught a notice posted in a record store (Virgin, Tower...can't remember) window. Bruce Dickenson was going to be there the following week, signing copies and doing a reading from his children's book, some Viking story I think.

Front man of Maiden, broadcaster, world class fencer, author , and pilot. Yeah, he is the man.
