Fucking NPR. It's where people who lack broadcast "voices" and would not be employable anywhere else end up. And, of course, it being NPR they've got one of everything. There's one openly gay news reader named Ari Shapiro who has such a blatantly obvious queer tenor (it sounds like a castrato/soprano) and enunciation that it is absolutely grating. It's so bloody awful that I can only take so much before I have to turn the radio off.


Then there are the Brooklyn nasal tones of the truly godawful Susan Stamberg. Fortunately, she's superannuated and has largely been disappeared from NPR's airwaves. When they do let her loose it's a sound that's every bit as grating as fingernails on a chalkboard.


For god's sake, please don't elect Bernie Sanders. If I am forced to listen to that horrific accent for much longer, I will be forced to file a complaint under the Geneva Conventions. That accent is a form of torture.

Lucky for me they will be local and ticket prices are about half what my wife paid for Adele. Why Adele can sing her ass off, if I where stuck on a island give me Use Your Illusion 2 over Adele any day.....

I have been pulled over more in Canada than in the States, so far. I also still use my US license. I probably should get one from the Republic of Quebec.

Why can't they post weather radar images and write their posts with a really annoying font to cover up the fact they really aren't as clever as they think they are!

Had to. I have no sick hours since they decided to change the rules at the beginning of the year. I told them bluntly this means I have to work sick and their answer was to use vacation time to get better. Uh no, not going to.

So I spread it all over the building since I am so nice and stuff.

I had no idea Ari Shapiro was gay. And I'm listening to him right now.

And Susan Stamberg does have an accent. Bernie has an accent. It sounds like home.
