Christ, I hate the fucking media—
bunch of know-nothing, babbling idiots pandering to gullible morons.

I look pretty nice this morning. My hair is dark from the coloring. I have on a pretty light green maxi skirt. My shirt is tan, with a white cammie underneath. Over it is a scarf that has matching light green, like my skirt, and matching tan, like my shirt. I have on tan sandals.

Perhaps I should have worn black but I couldn't find my black pants. Is it a must to wear black to a funeral?

Wear whatever the fuck you want. A color is just a color if it doesn't mean anything to you.

Condolences, pink. :rose:

I like this.

That is a Wesley Willis piece of one of my favorite spots in the city. The green area is Belmont Harbor. I don't know if it still is, but it was a dog park complete with a fenced in beach area. I've spent many a days there with my last mutt.

you sound as if you're dressed tastefully and look pretty. i'd imagine your mother would be happy to see you looking so nice when sayng your last goodbyes to her, since it's also a time to remember the happy things you shared together. she'd be more concerned you were doing okay than wanting to see you fretting about not wearing black. it's what's in your heart that matters - clothes... well, they're just clothes, aren't they?

huh. neat. i think i've heard that he was an artist before, but that is about it, really. aint bad, though. still love his crazy ass music best.

yeah, but back in the day we had tapes and then mp3s. more than once have i been surprised to see the real version of an album that i'd had on some shitty tape for ages. they're always so much prettier.

also clearer and not full of random nonsense. there's a band i used to have on tape that i absolutely loved, but i have no idea what the fuck it was. i probably never will because i got it off flippy and last i heard flippy was a goddamned junkie. gotta wonder if he's dead.

and then my sister stole the damned tape.

though, of course, there's a picture right there in that youtube link for his greatest hits. oh well.

Now you will instantly recognize his art when you see it. I'm a big fan of outsider art, so his stuff sings to me. Wesley was a staple in the Chicago scene.

Mostly off topic, but I was at the Rock N Roll McDonalds downtown and a stranger drew my picture and gave it to me. I have to find that piece.

this morning was really productive: rep scripts ordered, doc appts for me and youngest booked, shopping, laundry, utilites/travel card topped up... this afternoon, on the otherhand, was a morass of phone calls, websites, and emails with not much progress other than getting very good at keeping my calm with stupid scenarios.

swings and roundabouts.

My former brother in law died over the weekend.

Fell off the roof of his house, busted up pretty bad, was in a coma all last week, never regained consciousness.

Shitty way to go.
