I tried having a salad today. It was pretty tasty. At least the half I got to eat. Even if it did take two hours. But no kitchens or credenzas were harmed - nor cats chased - in the efforts to consume said salad.

I have to admit though, french fries are sounding pretty good right now. With a little mustard and a good burger.

and i ate couscous.

i needed to make up the bacon burger and fries i made last night.

Today was Pig-Out Day. Souvlaki on Pita, greasy fries, greasy zucchini, and a piece of fried chicken.

I will regret it later.

Tomorrow back on my usual - 2 bananas and 4 apples, one slice of bread, and as many soybeans as I can peel and eat while walking the dog.

The french fries and cheeseburger required effort. I did a quick nacho instead. Good salsa.

and now i'm eating pistachio ice cream because i'm only human.

also, ben and jerry's is three bucks a pint right now. it'd be a sin to not give in.

LOL. This is a proper Range Rover. A P38. 2.5 diesel. The diesel is a little under powered as standard but it can be chipped for thirty quid to sort that out.

Stay away from that little gasoline V8 Rover engine. Lots of underhood fires from those bastards.

stay away for a week almost entirely and the stupids irritate the living shit out of me even more. thank goodness for the decent people :rose:

been preserving... peppers (pickled), plums (jelly), apples (apple butter for now, more to follow), making buttery, pillowy biscuits and shelling green beans from the garden. last night cooked a scrumptious man n cheese version with butter-sauteed red and green peppers from the garden with onions & garlic and a smoked rub tossed into it, smoked ham, loadsa cheese&cheesy sauce, smoked bacon bits, breadcrumbs. mwah! oh, and mulching - but not at the same time.

Did you braise the man you put into the dish?

Lance, where are you?

I, too loathed & had a go at you for some of your misogynistic comments
but you're one of the wittiest, funniest posters on the GB.
Lit. is getting dumbed down without you guys.

So weird, how the pendulum of time is swinging.

The cultural&sexual revolution of the 60's portrayed women as active and liberated agents, to have sex with whomever they wanted & on their terms.'

The contemp. #Me too movement (not the original working-class &black one- the one culturally appropriated by White middle-class women)

went back to the protestant - puritanical roots of America:
-- women are seen as weak, potential victims in need of protection by the White patriarchy
--men are seen as potentially violent, instinctual apes who need to be monitored.

My lay-a-bout sister headed to the Cayman Islands this morning for a month-long "vacation." She's never worked a day in her life and I'm sitting here wondering exactly what she needs a vacation from.
