One time I accidentally bought raspberry jam with no seeds. I cried when I found out.

in the days of WW2 austerity, a lot traditional jams got made using substitute, seedless fruits like apple or rhubarb; there was a factory that made tiny wooden 'seeds' that were then added to the mix for realism.

watching the live news about that right now - not surprised it's happened given the build-up of tensions because of the last few days' events, but very sad for regular cops doing their jobs during a peaceful rally. their families must be devastated, as well as their colleagues, and this might have a knock-on effect of preventing further such rallies for fear of violence.

confuses me, too, des - all i know is that in england a jelly is a strained jam, no seeds/bits. i prefer some texture.

I read the story on Reuters. It is troubling. The cop on the beat will soon be in an armored cruiser with a turret on the roof.

Funny that today we went to the Canadian capital and visited with the US Embassy. I took pictures and posted them. I think we are headed to be quite messed up. I have nothing else to say

Used to love jelly as a nipper. I remember my mum carefully walking to the table with the milk so not to disturb the cream on top for the jelly.

Talking of puddings I've never really got over the joy of Artic Roll since childhood. It's ice cream inside a cake for fucks sake. Genius move.
