I just can't be mad at the 90 year old activist that just loves to by me a glass of wine so he can snake his arm around my waist and pull me in close so he can rest his head on my shoulder. I told my fella about him. He earned me to be careful not to give him a heart attack and followed it up with "What else does he have to live for?"

Good Girl!

So I wonder who the hollywood a-lister with aids is whos been sleeping around after he found out.

It's got to be either Clooney or that dipwad Sheen.

Not at all!

i am happy for him.

And I say arm, which it is, but the guy has a hook for a hand. Like one of those arcade games with the claw I used to play in the pubs to win a toy for my dog. That's another story for another time.

lol

The ISIS terrorist dubbed "Jihadi John", who oversaw the brutal executions of American and Western hostages, was hit by a U.S. air strike Thursday night and is believed to have been killed, U.S. officials told ABC News.

One official said the jihadist, Mohammed Emwazi, was thought to be hit as he left a building in Raqqa, Syria, and entered a vehicle. The official called it a "flawless" and “clean hit” with no collateral damage and that Emwazi basically "evaporated."

He's 90!

No more wine, here.

Like you're our, or you're done for the evening?

I've never had Not Your Father's Rootbeer before. It's a little too sweet for my liking. I grabbed it because they had no ginger beer at the joint I went to.

Not out. Far from it.

i have ginger beer in the the cellar. Only 4 bottles.

there are perhaps four of you here who....

well:

each of you already know....

Yeppers.

I'm having a Not Your Father's Rootbeer with Bushmills because my schedule for tomorrow is completely empty! :nana::catroar:

Must try this sometime, although anything that says "root beer" usually ends with me scooping some vanilla ice cream in it. :D Haven't tipped back a glass of Bushmills since this past June. ;)

It's a rather potent mix. I was also looking for Hell-Cat Maggie Irish Whiskey. 0 for 2, but pleased with plan B.

You'd like the nice spice of the Not Your Father's Rootbeer Zumi. there's more spicy bites to it than any root beer that I'vr had.

I don't know that I would equate this with wine coolers, but maybe that is due to the added whiskey. As I said it is still rather sweet.

You're drinking the Bushmills as a side chaser to the NYFR, yes? Not mixing the two outright?

I've been scrolling through the thread to relax a bit after a ten-hour drive. Damn, my shoulders are sore. I feel like someone beat me between my shoulder blades.

Anyway, I came across this:

i picked up gjetost cheese the other day, and it is strangely delightful.
It was on the table for most every meal I had in Norway.
Never had it, now you've made me want to try it.

Oh, gjetost is lovely! It's a whey cheese, and it's sweet, and a bit nutty to me. I realy like it with rye bread or rye crackers. It's also nice slightly melted on toast with jam. As Thor mentioned, it's a staple in Norway. They sometimes use the leftover bits (when it gets too thin for the cheese slicer) in the gravy for Norwegian meatballs (kjøttkaker). I put gjetost out with crackers at a party early this year (it had a Norwegian-ish theme), and it was a big hit.
