I'd heard all that about the selling out, and her being so surprised- how completely charming after all these years. The woman still has no idea of her impact on the musical landscape and what she means to people. Talk about a humblebrag! This is true, I have to take my ID. It's to stop all the resales and folks paying hundreds for a ticket. Good ole Kate didn't want to rip her fans off. And she could have got triple what they charged, they sold out in less than 15 mins. All 22 shows. Apparently faster than Beyonce, Madonna and Lady Gaga.
I would imagine so. I also read that during rehearsals she's been doing a lot from Ninth Wave. If she does Jig of Life I will drop dead of joy. My fave track ever.

Who is Kate Bush?

I hope against hope that you get your Jig of Life moment. Nothing can replace that soaring feeling when you get to hear an artist so dear to your heart do a song that is also so dear. I'm lucky to have had a couple such instances (though not with Kate Bush, obvi) and just remembering the feelings during the performance is enough to make me go wussy-slobbery.

Ummm...
Oh!

peter gabriel could make my cat sound good.
Aww, I love Peter Gabriel. He was my first ever gig. Mercy Street is one of my fave songs.

IrezumiKiss: I'm appreciative of the Ferguson updates that you've been posting in here, especially this last batch. It's a breath of clean, fresh air after auditing the offerings on the topic in a couple of threads here. Grazie.
Fata Morgana: Please know that I am greeeeeeeen with envy. The first time I bought a Kate Bush record I was a teenager and had never heard of her as such before. I picked up Never Forever and Hounds of Love at a neighbour's yard sale, because I liked the art on the cover of the former, and the guy selling them recommended the latter. I put them on our family's record player as soon as I got home and listened to them both a few times, eventually picking out my favourite songs and dropping the needle by memory, while falling in love forever.
