Aye. I'll let you order for me.
You're Fata's Indian? I can't keep track of her harem anymore.
I'll mash you in with the spuds. That's how I treat my swedes.![]()
I'm very okay with that. I love potatoes. And cheese. And bread. And just about all food. Unfortunately.
Thankfully she only collects one from each nationality.
We could lie in bed all day with our cats watching Mads and eating cheesy mash.
Deep thoughts by Laurel...When I was a kid, Christmas was THE day. As an adult I used to jump through big hoops - lotsa shopping, tree-buying, decorationing, and other stressful time-consuming energy-eating tasks - in an attempt to capture that feeling. But the reality is that it's gone. Magical Christmas is in my past.
Birthdays seem to be the same dealie. You plead with people NOT to throw a party or do anything because it always feels forced and awkward and unfun. But at the same time, it's sad to not to anything. Either way, it's a weird uncomfortable day. Magical Birthdays - where you're the star and there's cake and presents and being one year older doesn't mean closer to death (or at least, you don't think so) - are pretty much over by a certain age.
Weird how that works.
