I'm sorry. I've got access to 4 county library systems from my phone and they'll all send the books to my local branch.

I get new books as soon as I type them into my "want list" and they come available. The only problem is the waiting list for good stuff.

Oh, they'll order stuff for you. But Amazon is a damn sight quicker. Times like this I do miss living in London.

The library in my town has opted out of the loaner program so if they don't have it, I cannot request one.

They let you borrow around here only from the library of your town, so I cannot even pretend to live elsewhere to get a better library.

Dude, my neighborhood has been putting up a ton of these little "lending libraries" - basically, enclosed bookshelves where people can take or leave books as they see fit. It's pretty badass.

I love those! I've been seeing them pop up more often as of late.

We have a swap "shelf" (actually consists of a few shelves) where people can give and take books. Locals as well as tourists make good use of it. And there's only a couple of douchebags who take an armload in order to sell them.

My workplace does as well. To be fair though, I do wish there were slightly less Nicholas Sparks or John Grisham and more, say, Margaret Atwood or Haruki Murakami. But I am an avowed snob.
