Turkey's in the oven - cooking away...laundry is going...waiting patiently for the Dish Network tech...lovin' the extra day off. Mostly though because I got to wake up in your arms again this morning.
 
the cat was taking a nap in the backyard. stretched out, in the sun, happy cat.

the dog walked over, lifted his leg and peed on her.

the battle for the backyard continues.

Luckily, I don't have to go anywhere today, it looks intense.
I don't think my leg/ankle is stable enough for this yet.
If I do go out, it will be with strapped on yaktrax, wind pants and pointy walking sticks.
Please be careful out there.
I wonder what happens if we really do hit 40 later today.

I'm really dreading finding out. It's already warmer out there and looks intense.

Degrees. We are getting dumped on and the next few days are supposed to be in the 40s which is going to make this all quite the adventure.

40 degrees F which would be 4 C!

We will be above freezing, there will be shorts and tshirt wearing people dancing in the streets or in the slush ;)

We have been in the minus' for most of the past couple months (that would be -19 to - 35 C) It won't last, -6F/-21C is predicted for next weekend, but at least I can go a week without having to thaw the pipes!

I was fantasizing about going out this afternoon to drop some work off, but one look at MNdot traffic and the number of crashes/spin outs took care of that. The interstates look worse than the county highways if you look on the traffic cams.
 
So I am making beef stew in the rice cooker and wondering what else besides rice/quinoa/grains I can make in there? I have been told that one can do all sorts of things in it and that a rice cooker is all you need to cook.

Anyone have any experience with this?
