Somewhere in Cape Town, Africa, there is a former PR exec who stepped off a plane and got given the biggest wake-up call and sea change to her life in the world by everyone else with internet access to her careless, privileged stupidity.

Losing a cushy 200K a year job is a hard pill to swallow. Lesson loined.

It's raining, not just rain, biblical flood fucking rain, and I have to move some fruit trees. Where's the ark?

After years of testing, I've decided that fruit flavors in truffles - and chocolate in general - are not good.

I love chocolate covered fruit.

Also Terry's chocolate orange is my fav at the moment as far as fruit flavored chocolate goes.

Milk chocolate with fruit, the dark overpowers the flavor.

you are wrong. lindt intense orange is perfect.

and dark is always better. maybe not 80% or more all the time, but dark is still always better than boring ass milk chocolate.

Roadhead is still asleep and I am wide awake but reluctant to get out of this warm bed. There are NO children in this house at the moment, a real rarity. I am sure we will be having loud and sloppy sex soon. He needs rest, he has been working long days, otherwise I would be grabbing for his man parts right now. Instead, I am just looking at recipes for breakfast. I usually make over-easy eggs and sourdough toast on Saturday mornings, but I am so bored with that. I have all the fixings for quiche, but that doesn't sound appealing. Maybe an eggy and cheesy bread pudding of some kind? Herbs from the garden? A cream and egg custard. I have six or seven kinds of cheese in the fridge. What should I make? We are not sweets people in the morning. No hot cakes or crepes.

i really need to change my ringtone. it is apparently way too fucking common. either that or my ears are conspiring to drive me insane.

OR i should just turn the fucking tv off. it's not like i'm actually watching it anyway....

let's go with that last one.

better already.

I have a whole Breakfast and Brunch Pinterest board.
