Right. When was the last time I was here? July? Fuck. That's long. THINGS WHICH HAVE HAPPENED: Got made redundant. Celebrated one-year anniversary with girlfriend. Broke up with girlfriend because long distance fucking sucks in the worst kind of way. Put on weight. Lost weight. Been diagnosed as depressed. Given Prozac. Made frequent jokes about suicide to liven up a dull day. Yet to go through with it.

CONCLUSION: Not the greatest period of time to live through. Whoever said the grass was greener on the other side was the worst kind of liar and a cunt, fuck that guy. Yes, I'm slightly better at talking to people, but that's the thinnest silver lining to a fairly shite cloud. And yes, I'm a right little ray of fucking sunshine sometimes.

Good to see you drop in occasionally, MS. Would be even better to see you drop in more often. Yeah, life sucks a lot of the time, my friend, but it beats the hell out of the alternative...

I was not aware of that. It is really sad that people who are in serious pain from chronic illnesses have to have they drug regimens made more difficult because of people who abuse pain killers.

Thanks for the link.

Sir has chronic pain from arthritis but isn't taking any pain meds. Reason? They upset His stomach. Even slow release paracetamol (Tylenol in the US?) only worked for a few months before He started feeling sick :(

Now if we could get legal marijuana He would be set, but the powers-that-be (short-sighted Federal Govt) will not allow it  It helps with His pain, helps Him sleep, stimulates appetite and eases nausea. We have been getting the synthetic pot online but that will be outlawed too by May 1st.

GRRR so He can go to the Dr and get a script for strong opiates but He can't get a little bit of smoke which works heaps better. GO FIGURE!

*We have heard about fentanyl pain patches but His skin is so sensitive to anything sticky and these things have to stay on for a week.* Plus not too sure about the side effects of those either

If you can get the right dose, I don't believe fentanyl patches have any side-effects that opioids don't already have. I'm working under the assumption that humans have a similar response to them as domestic animals. It may still be worth looking in to as an option. Who knows, maybe they won't be the type of sticky he reacts to :)

I have learned a lesson... Be nice to newbies... Because when your girlfriend tells you she has posted on Lit in the past...and tells you her screen name....you will feel like an ASSHOLE for being so mean to her....

I have a few thoughts on this.

A- true, newbies should be handled with care.
B- sometimes a newb has it coming to them and they deserve a little tough love.
C- sick SatinD on them, she is brilliant and newb training;, or Stella she's good at putting them in line as well.

I'm gonna look at your posting history now and see if I can figure out who it is.

And if I was mean to her too:eek:

She admits now that she deserved it at the time... Fortunately, she has grown up a bit and ventured into real time as opposed to online only and learned some valuable lessons...

That's awesome! I love it when the "aha moments" are equal opportunity.

Lucky. lol Otherwise that could have been quite awkward.

Owie, I fell down a couple of steps in the subway station tonight and now I'm gonna have a giant bruise on mah leg. Owieeeee.

This is not the good kind of pain, so I am a baby :)

Lol, gotta hate that. atm, I'm healing up a sprained ankle and two big ol' bruises. One is on my thigh and one is right on my knee. Between the ankle and the knee it makes kneeling down or getting up a pain!! It's just no fun to be all bruised up in bad ways!

Mountaineer Lincoln Hall died yesterday at age 56. For real this time. He was left for dead on the slopes of Everest in 2006, and Sherpas had taken most of his gear, because hey he's dead right? 12 hours later some other climbers walked by and he was sitting up and said "I bet you're surprised I'm sitting here." He had frostbite and other problems but he ended up surviving, losing only one toe and part of a finger. He died yesterday, though, of mesothelioma.

How sad. I was just thinking about him about a week ago. Mesothelioma is usually by exposure to asbestos and the inhalation of asbestos particles. Supposedly some people do survive it, however everyone I have known who has gotten it died fairly quickly once it was discovered. Unfortunately, the disease lies dormant for decades.

Missed this, but this is awesome :)
Personally, I don't think you should come to a BDSM forum and expect to be handled with kid gloves, right?

It is never a bad idea to be nice and polite especially as you never know who might be in your future.

I think I want to climb Mt. Fuji this summer. I am an armchair Everest fan, and I will never in my life make it to the Himalayas, but Mt. Fuji is an iconic mountain that's easily within my capabilities, if I can borrow hiking boots somewhere.

Hey rida, ever climbed Fuji-san? Want to go? :)
