The Isolated Blurt BDSM Thread

I love finding bdsm references in the day to day. Mind you, maybe not references for vanillas, but little things that I can chuckle about in my head, particularly at work.

Make Easter come NOW! I soooooooooooooooooooooooooo need a four-day weekend.

I feel like, psychologically speaking, I've had all the life-force sucked out of me.

I know I'm lucky to have a job. I know I'm lucky to have MY job. But I just need a BREAK, godammit.

I would like to know why the hell my house always gets cold between 4:30 and 6:30 in the morning.

It's like there's some kind of heat vortex that opens up and sucks out the warmth.

Live! Live, damn you!

The first Br'er Rabbit reference I've ever seen on Lit. :)

Me too! Transported me back 35 years in an instant! My mum used to read them to me.

And the first time I've said that and people got where it came from.

I'm impressed. lol I've said that before, and normally have to explain the reference to someone, so I don't say it that often; it's rarely worth the trouble of explaining.

I don't know why I'm surprised, though. This is a pretty well read bunch.

If I hear "I'm bored and I can't do anything 'cause nobody will play with me" one more time, I swear I shall put her butt to work cleaning the baseboards. With a toothbrush.

So, so very close to having a cranky mom face.

Fuck, I have a Whitney Houston song in my head whenever I see one thread, and Thank Heavens For Little Girls whenever I see the Little Girls one.

Wah.

So speaking of well read people here, a question:

In either Emily of New Moon or Anne of Green Gables the character has a special name for 2am(?). Something like the bleak hour or the empty hour....

Does anyone remember what the character called it - or at least which series it was in?

And Google was not helpful when I tried.

Wah.

Huh. Mine is Martina McBride's "This One's for the Girls"

Nice to know it's not an uncommon occurrence with thread titles.

OK so every Thursday morning I wake up feeling like I have a chest infecton coming on. And then it's gone by Friday.

Must be something/someone I'm sensitive to in Wednesday night's training room. :(

I can't recall. Darn it. Now I'm gonna have to reread those books.
