From the mouths of babes -

My 13 year old son offered this one - "A self-fulfilling prophecy is much easier than uncertainty."

I shouldnt have eaten so much ice cream and mince pies and quaffed so much wine.

I feel flabby :eek:

Orgasm denial sucks.

So the boyfriend and I split up (I think) last night and I didn't know whether to put it in the "what made you smile" thread or the "what pissed you off" thread, so I'm putting it here.

I love him. Deeply. It's been a year that we've been seeing each other. Almost to the day. I feel a huge, huge sense of loss. I don't love easily (he was the only man I've loved this century, despite seeing a lot of men) and I don't STOP loving easily either. But if he still can't come to terms with the fact that he did the right thing in leaving his impossible marriage, if the "what might have beens" re. his wife are still clogging up his heart, then, for me, I suspect that after the pain of telling him it's over, and after the grieving process, I will ultimately be happier wthout him.

I have suffered SO much loss in the last 4 months it's not even funny. But hey - it's all character-building, I'm sure ;)

{{{HUGS}}}

I understand very well what you mean as I went through it myself many many years ago.

I was lucky that he came through and gave me a sign that in spite of his current struggles he was indeed committed to the relationship with me. So here we are, going toward our 14th wedding anniversary.

The sign came a couple of week before our wedding. I was ready to call it off if he did not.

Many times the right thing to do in the long term is the most painful in the short.

:rose:

worried about tomorrow.

Please let it be nothing.

I could do with an extra power boost. :)

EDIT used in this context, hammer means: knuckles.
