The Introvert's Corner

Hahahahahahaha! Magnificent. :D

#neededthat

*reaches up and tickles the bat to see if she giggles* :D

*pats a patch of grass deep in the shade and smiles hopefully*

Hehe..."tickles the bat"

*laughs so hard she snorts*

Perv!

You could pet my fruit bat

Tickling me could be hazardous to your health...
Just sayin'...
@Ydahecnot....the euphemism is strong with this one

*limps in and settles in the corner with a glass of Pinot so I don't bother anybody*

Hopes all is okay. And the cause of the limp is nothing serious.

I had a busy Saturday, looking forward to sleeping under the shade tree today.
Blanket - check. Pillow - check. Soft music - check. *now where is my cuddle buddy?!*

Do you have someone specific in mind? Because cuddle is my middle name so I'm just checking. :)

I have another eventful afternoon and evening planned for today, so I need to get my down time in this morning.

I hope you are ok Jenny. Twist an ankle?

Appreciate the offer. But yes. I have someone very much in mind.

Brought food. Collards, string beans and corn on the cob mixed, honey baked ham, beef ribs, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, fried chicken, grilled chicken, salad mix, sweet cornbread, homemade lemon pound cake, vanilla rum cake, cinnamon swirls. Plates, napkins and utensils all in my huge Red Ryder firestation red wagon. Yes, breakfast can be anything you want it to be.... especially here...free for all to enjoy. No, I'm not looking at how much you take, just nourish yourself.

Assortment of Sudoku puzzles, Wordfinds and pens under my arm as I spread out my blanket. Yes, I'm sharing these too.

Cuddling under a shade tree sounds like a perfect Sunday.

I'm going to post this here, because it doesn't fit in anywhere else. A recent discussion brought this poem to mind. I wrote this in high school (1987), so be kind.

For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky

I sit and stare at you
Across the crowd cafeteria.
You look up and smile at me
Then silently turn away,
Not knowing that that one look
Has brought joy into my day.

Did you know that last night
Your light went out at 11:57 P.m.?
I sat across the street from your house
Wanting only to knock on your window
And tell you how I feel.

I stare out the window at the rain,
Knowing in my heart
That you, too, are watching the rain
And thinking of me.

I know that I can live without you,
And I know that someday our love will die-
For the world is hollow, and I have touched the sky.

Now I'm going to retire to my attic for a bit. Enjoy your weekend, Litsters.

It isn't the shade, it isn't the cuddeling itself, but it is finding the perfect person to spend the time with that makes this day perfect.

*opens arm wide for you to fit under* perfection.

*settles in with a sigh and enjoys the quiet*
