Hmmm, not my thing, but it is worrying that someone can be jailed for it...what will they decide is next on the list because it is not deemed 'normal'?

It sounds like he was likely jailed for trespassing, or breaking a restraining order prohibiting trespassing, and not for the actual sexual act per se. Still, it's sad that his fetish drove him to disobey court orders.

True, but I am guessing they initially found other charges to bring against him, simply because there was not a specific one which would cover what he was doing....from there, they could use those to take further action. It is sad that in what is considered to be a sophisticated and advanced society, in many ways we appear to be going backwards into repression, not forward and toward a broader outlook on life.

Judge Christopher Elwen, presiding at Truro Crown Court, turned down defense calls for a suspended sentence, saying that Truscott had to be jailed for his "bizarre and perverted activities."
Sounds like the judge revealed the true reason for the sentence here.
I can't see how anybody gets harmed by somebody diving into the dung. Not even the poor, 16 year old witness.
Bah ... I grew up in a village and came home covered in dung myself more than once.
Maybe I didn't want to get covered by ths, but that's the only difference I can see.
We weren't allowed to bother the cows, too. But it was fun and nobody got hurt (except from the barbed wire while fleeing some angry bulls once or twice).

I'm totally with you in this.

Erm, trespassing + indecent exposure? Three times?

Two years for skinny dipping into someones dung somewhere probably nobody except the farmer and his family ever goes?
C'mon ...

Unfortunately, the judiciary brings their own bias to things as much as they say they don't. But thanks for finding more details.

Yeah ...
I hate that.
If he had been sentenced for the trespassing and indecent exposure that would have been one thing. But who is this judge to call him bizarre and perverted and since when is it criminal to be bizarre and perverted?
Where's my trial then?

This is one person you would not want to be playing with!! Very sad and a reminder why you need to know who you are going to play with before going this far.2nd victim
