Welcome.

Tired? Can't sleep? Body rebelling?
Join the club.

I
HATE
insomnia.

I should be freakin' exhausted, and I was when I went to be 4 1/2 hours ago after spending most the day driving.

Now???

*sigh*

Yep. it sucks. :rose:

Not sure which version I have. Oh I can sleep, alright. If I go to bed, close my eyes and am a little patient about it. But I just bloody don't. I can feel my brain's fatigue so tanglible it's physical, a creeping warmth in my arms and legs, a numbness to my fingertips. My body is shutting down all it can as if urging me on. "Shut off, turn out the lights and lay down, you nimrod!". But it's always just that one thing that I need to finish. And another, and another, and a movie. I end up going to bed at 8 in the morning and sleep through the day, and my friends and family wonder where the hell I am all the time when I don't answer the phone for several days.

Is there therapy for this?

On my days off, I have so much I want to do that I over extend and end up not sleeping for long stretches and then it's lights out for twelve hours and then I groggy... the whole system is topsy turvy....

Sorry Matty. go cuddle with the wife... that's my best suggestion...

:rose: :rose:

I really hate not being able to fall asleep. My brain just won't shut off sometimes. Recently I've resorted to over the counter sleeping pills to help (although not the ones that are based on antihistimines since they only make me fake sleep and then groggy the next day).

Now I feel a fraud.........I went back to bed ....an hour or so later and did exactly what Tx recommended.......cuddled the wife and fell asleep. Managed to sleep on and off for another 4 hours.

Wonderful.

Hope some of you other guys had as much success.

Oh yes. I finally did go to bed at 8 AM and slept like a baby until now. Feels weird to have breakfast at 3 in the afternoon, but there you have it.

Now, how to fix this self induced jet lag until Monday workday morning, I have no idea.
