Remember when Trump imposed that so-called cruel and needless travel ban that halted travel to the U.S. from a variety of countries around the world, including the United Kingdom and 26 European nations? It was supposed to only last 30 days but instead lasted for months until Trump finally announced that with the arrival of vaccines, it would be lifted effective January 26, 2021. Unfortunately Biden took office 1/20, and changed the plan. So now here we are in July, and the stubborn old man is continuing indefinitely what some on the left referred to as Trump’s “attack on Europe.” Lol.

You do realize that the travel bans to and from the US were imposed by other countries, on the US, mainly due to the lackadaisical manner that the Trump administration was dealing with the global COVID-19 pandemic, mishandling of spread containment (let’s have a MAGA rally!) and misinformation, and the politicization in the US of a global health issue. It was the rest of the world that banned American travel and told Americans to stay home, in your Petri dishes.

Some of those bans and tight restrictions continue today because of low American vaccination numbers, some states (surprisingly, given all that has happened over the last year and a half) still acting like they are COVID exempt, and the high number of ignorant Americans - some of whom are leaders and elected officials - who base their health decisions, and their ideas and beliefs of COVID science and vaccines on misinformation they hear on FOX News, or read on Reddit and Facebook.
