I need to get one of those. I have a mandoline, which I used for thinly slicing potatoes, and it scares the crap out of me since I tend to be a bit klutzy. I'm convinced I'm going to end up with some sliced finger among the potatoes.

Okay, look, I am a fucking bleeding heart when it comes to animals. I cried because a bird hit my window slightly (as in, I was stopped and it didn't quite clear the side of my car, but flew off just fine) and dropped its berry in winter. (I was on my way home from therapy and that may have influenced my emotional state at the time.)

I like animals. They've harmed me significantly less than people have, lol.

Rats are awesome. I've held many rats, and not a one of them ever bit me.

Urban rats in many American cities are quite hostile, although they are more likely to attack children and small pets.
I've heard the problem has gotten even worse in the wake of covid. Presumably that's a conspiracy of some kind. Saruman, who released the virus, has perhaps been breeding rats with lemurs.
