To be perfectly honest, I was even a little embarassed just reading it. :p

Don't be, I was pretending to be a lounge act for my daughter.

Speaking of embarrassing your kids... I like to daydream. I fantisize about my future as living together with Hubby in a nice house in the countryside, with our 3 kids. I dream up little scenarios about what we do and what we say to each other.

A while back, I got into a fight with our 9-year-old son, who snuck off to play soccer with his friends IN SPITE OF his mother telling him that he had to finish his homework before he could go out to play.
I dressed as geeky as I could - though I saved the curlers and the bathrobe for picking him up outside the disco in his teen years - and drove down to the football field. In front of all his friends and the soccer coach, I picked the kid up and carried him under my arm to the car, telling him in an unnecessarily loud voice that Mummy Told Him; NO SOCCER Until He Had Done His Homework. I thres him in the backseat, and drove him home, ignoring his wild shrieks about how much he hated me for humiliating him in front of his friends and his coach like that. Once we got back home, I told him that I had embarrassed him this much without even putting in any effort - if he tried to disobey me again, then I would REALLY plan how to embarrass him!

When Hubby called later that night, I told him I was feeling all exhausted because I had had a mental fight with our son. Hubby, being a loveable and understanding man, didn't object to the fact that said son hasn't even been conceived yet, but simply asked me what had happened. I told him, and he assures me that he would have sided with me in the matter. School first, sport later. And he liked the part about me embarrassing our kid.

Being a parent is a tiresome job, but it's much easier and WAY much funnier if you have a sadistic side. :D

I learned everything about motherhood from watching Roseanne. Svenska, you'll be a cool mom.

Svenska, that is too much, I love that you do that. I think I'll start living in my head more. Thanks, P.

p.s. you can write to me anytime about your future life, it's much more interesting than my present one. :(

Also, Svenska, don't forget to take lots of pictures of the kids doing really odd things (like they do when they're 3 and 4), and keep them in a very safe place. Videos are even better, because then you can see them dancing around and singing.

Great blackmail material when they're in their teens...

...which is why I've taken photos of M's son happily eating penis-shaped candy as a toddler...

OK !!! That's it. You called me 'sweet'. Now I'm annoyed.

Time to change the AV.

Oh, and by the way......I'm back. Why is house viewing so damn stressful?

It's pissing with rain outside, the surface of the pond is bouncing !!! At least it means I won't have to get the damned hose (don't even go there............any of you!!) out.

I can't be bothered to cook, so pigging out on snackie-boos.......

Yummm.

Mat.

mmmmmmmm, luurrrrv the AV.

Okay, woman. No one else might be brave enough to tell you this, but it is high time you stocked up on Duracell and spent a day with yourself.

;)

Chill out, already!

No wonder you're so edgy.

Psst...It's not the charger that is supposed to be humming, lady.

Glad to hear you've mixed yourself a drink and are chillin'. Work on the other thing I mentioned and you outta be right in no time.
