Hi, Tonitits and P3,

I have gotten a hug here before and need another one. My wife just went into the hospital to have surgery tomorrow morning. The doctor will remove her appendix and we don't know what else. When that is done then they will start looking at another problem that we thought was finished. We spent sight months traveling between California and Denver to take care of a vascular tumor. We were told in March that it was done. Now another one has started. So we both need a great big hug. I am a pharmacist and I tell many of my patients that a hug can be the best medicine. I believe strongly in the power of a hug.

I am going to try to attach a JPEG of a small poster about hugs. Pray that it works.

More hugs

Thanks to everyone who gave my wife and me hugs last night. The hugs and prayer did help. Yesterday my wife went into the hospital to have surgery this morning because the surgeon found a problem with her appendix and a kidney stone. He was going to remover her appendix. This morning he could not do the surgery because her blood was too thin. She has been on blood thinners, but had stopped them three days ago. She was also given vitamin K that should have thickened it. We were upset because the surgery was postponed to Monday. However, when the surgeon came in tonight with the results of the tests run today, he told us he did not have to do surgery. The new tests showed that her appendix was now perfectly normal and also the kidney stone was gone. The prayers were answered. She will stay in the hospital another two days though to undergo more tests to find the source of her pain, which she still has.

Your hugs and prayers will once again get us through. There are so many amazing, warm and loving people on this thread. Thank you all.

That is great Bob, I am so happy for you. I am always amazed at how much prayers can actually do. I have always been taught to pray to God and that there was lots of power in prayer. I seen it sooooo many times. That is why I love this thread. We can all give hugs, they help tremendously and also praying for those who are ill or having problems. I want to thank everybody for the hugs. My wife came home today. The doctors could not find anything wrong. She still has the pain, but the doctors don't know what's causing it. There are more tests to follow. Here is a big hug to you all. This feels so good.
