Have you ever tried it? What about other "random meetings"? How do you do it? Has it ever worked?
Ok, so I have a company picnic to go to this afternoon. It's a potluck thing so I had to go grab some groceries (which are now cooking while I type this..)
I walk into the store and start wandering the isles. A very attractive woman is wandering the isles in the opposite direction from me. We're on the same end of the store but criss-crossing on the isles.
In isle 3 we pass and smile with momentary eye contact.
In isle 4 we both pass again and grin. <rings on her thumb and forefinger but no engagement ring or wedding band!>
In isle 5 she does the hair flip and giggles as we pass. <verra cute smile!>
In isle 6 I catch her checking out my ass as I pass her <I caught her because I had turned around to check out hers at the same time>
In isle 7 she says "Fancy meeting you here!" and laughs. <I laugh back of course>
In isle 8 she winks, smiles and licks her lips like she's slightly embarrassed.
So we both end up at the registers at about the same time. I, of course, choose the register right along side hers. Then the thought dawns on me that in about 3 minutes she'll be gone and who knows if I'll ever run into her again. My cashier is a little faster than hers and I have less stuff so I delay for a few seconds.
As soon as her cashier hands her her reciept I walk over, take it from her hand and scribble my name and phone number on the back, hand it back to her and tell her to call me. Her eyes opened wide and she smiles.
I walk out totally freaked. I've NEVER done anything like that before.
So ummm.. Whaddya think? What are the odds I get a call? 50/50? Was there something else I could/should have done? Has anyone else ever done anything like this? Ladies, has anything like that ever happened to you? If so, what did you do?
