The Glorification of George Floyd

PS - I want to refer to post #144.

Sean is the perfect example of white people who make excuses for our black community.

They can't help it! They need me to speak for them!

It's SYSTEMIC!!! I tell you!

Genuflect!

It was the smug, smarmy English/Europeans who wiped out, in a genocide,
many of my maternal ancestors, displaced them and impoverished them
before dumping slaves on these shores and instituting the very
institutions, culture and traditions that they now smugly
lecture us about how we're to deal with the residue
of their stinky mess. Talk about hubris!

It was also they who gave us the evil legacy of slavery. They wanted the economic benefit, but didn't really want "negroes" as Sean calls them sites over there.

None of the black people he is referring to have ever been enslaved, dullard. Most are born after the civil rights act where they, as they should, were acknowledged to have all the rights and privileges of American citizenship, something I hope you are never given. All currently live in a country where any form of discrimination on the basis of race is explicitly illegal and all enjoy the protection of those rights through vigorous enforcement by buildings full of government bureaucrats and lawyers with unlimited budgets to litigate civilly or file criminal charges to enforce those rights.

His point about the current status of "negroes" as you so offensively refer to them far exceeds to potential they would have anywhere on the planet. Blacks that end up in the UK only do so because they were unable to get to Anerica as I am sure you realize through your own bitter envy.

His country is every bit as Racist as he claims ours is...

Cheap cotton to fuel their textile industries.
They didn't give a fuck about who was
paying the full price for their cotton.

I'd just give this one up.

There's plenty of Leftist Crap and Craziness to attack, demean, mock, debunk, and ridicule. Nancy Pelosi, the Island of CHAZ, and Gropey Joe still need attention, for example. Hollywood is attacking itself. Great fun.

Positioning anywhere near the "bad" cop with a long history of ugly is only necessary for a legal team (who will drink like fish to get through any trial) and family members who basically have that role by default. Maybe a close buddy or two will pop up, too. Maybe a priest or shaman.

You. You have a choice to refocus your energy on loony liberals (yes, redundant), incompetent mayors, and relentless presidential tweets.

Here's another one for you to "give up on":4 cops form a cordon around a protester with a bullhorn. They crowd in on him then one officer abruptly stops. The protester nudges into him and the police immediately pound the shit out of megaphone man, yelling "you assaulted a police officer".

Even better one...look how this cop gets one inch away from the Hispanic guys' face while three other jabroni cops pretend like nooooothing is happening

Omg

George made some mistakes in life, no doubt. I don't understand why he wasn't arrested peacefully. They couldn't just 'cuff him and put him in the car? Why was he laying in the street for so long?
If you want to see a really frightening killing by police of a WHITE man: the Daniel Shaver killing >> https://www.washingtonpost.com/vide...715e7a-dc3e-11e7-a241-0848315642d0_video.html
Officer acquitted. No rioting ensued.

Why? Why? I had to rewatch this to confirm what I saw. Shocking!! I don't have any other words for this.

And that has what to do with a cop kneeling on a handcuffed black mans neck for 9 minutes until he dies???

The police were operating in a tactical manner based upon reports of a man brandishing a rifle in the window of a hotel. The time where the guy moved his hands quickly to the small of his back was where I thought the cop was going to shoot him. I'm guessing if he had been black he would have. I couldn't really see what the guy did when the cop shot him because the camera was not focused on him. It seemed like he startled the cop by crawling too quickly. Oddly enough, the girl followed directions pretty much to the letter and her outcome was much different.

Tragic loss of life, but not a good analogy for the Floyd murder.

That COP was a Wanna Be! Seriously lighting up a guy crawling per his instructions with an AR15. The limp dick Cop is on disability for PTSD!

Not only that, but it's totally disingenuous for the flimsy point that JP Numbers there was trying to shill.

If the officer was acquitted and nobody "rioted" or even protested Shaver's assumed murder, then the All Lives Matter crowd was either asleep at the wheel or just didn't give a fuck because they knew using a rhetorical device only meant to silence Black Lives Matter would fly like a paper airplane made of cellophane instead of paper.

Schmucks keep trying it.

Only because he got filmed. And only because thay video was totally unambiguous. And only because it was right up close. Hard to dispute that was a blatant murder.

There are PLENTY of other cop murders that weren't filmed, or were blurry, or some bullshit narrative was able to gaslight people into not believing what they saw.

This guy just got caught, that's all. He got caught. And it was actually pretty rare to have it that clean cut and still it will be really hard to get him convicted in court.

You're whining that it's so HARD nowadays for cops to get away with murder, when in fact they do 99.99 percent of the time. Sure, they may be "national news," but they also know they will likely not be held for accountable for anything.

Gratuitous assertions are not arguments.

He wasn't "able" to "murder" without consequences, now was he? Every cop is well aware that if a black man dies incident to arrest or within their custody he will likely be national news, regardless of the circumstances, and for sure if the black guy hasn't gotten off a couple of rounds. How, 8n 5hat environment do you maintain the fiction that cops feel empowered by thus alleged, unseen institutional racism that cannot even be seen in the statistics to "murde4" black people.

Cops, if inclined to "murder" are much more "able" to murder whites and in fact actually do in greater numbers, both in real terms and as a percentage of citizen contacts. In any interaction between a black man and a cop of any color, the cop has eighteen times the chance of being murdered in the exchange.

You asserting institutional racism that is not showing up in every study commissioned on the subject doesn't conjure it into existence, and your linkage to this imagined mechanism is specious at best. Your entire argument is "everyone knows" that institutional racism (that no one can actually find) exists and therefore it fostered the environment that led to cops being fired immediately and charged with homicide in record time, because reasons.

What institutional racism permits thousands of young black men to be "able" to murder other young black men annually, often without being caught?

You diving a cause and assigning a motive is evidence of nothing. It's called an unsupported, gratuitous assertion and you wrote all that like it is self-evidently, contrary to the actual evidence gathered on the subject.

Even if you manage to incite nationwide riots about something that you imagine exist that still doesn't mean that it does. No amount of protesters, peaceful or otherwise disputes the actual facts.

Yes. Some cops do bad things. I think everyone agrees to that point. That's not new. There have literally been a hundred movies about "cops gone bad." We get it. However, a vast majority of cops do great things, little things, and brave things. Every day. All over the country. No videos capturing it. It just happens. You hate cops. And that's OK. Some are worthy of the hate. But, again, you are unwilling to put the uniform on and improve their service. That's on you.

Most citizens are law-abiding. Unfortunately some are molesters, abusers, rapists, killers, torturers, thieves and/or generally evil. Cops have to deal with them, face-to-face. Frequently.

Most protestors are exercising their rights and doing what they believe in. That's fantastic. Some protestors turn into rioters, looters, and criminals. That's a fact. Cops of all races and national origins and sexual identification have to deal with the latter losers.

Your bravery will not be forgotten. Thank you for being the voice for those who need a VOICE!

We've all seen those vids., one can't deny that racism and bullying of Blacks wasn't a problem within Police.

But it looks to me like the wheel is turning.
I keep seeing, on Twitter, bullying incidents of good White cops by Whites AND BLACKS.

Well Said

A) You have no idea what he thought.

B) You have no reason to believe he expected that Floyd would die

C) If he thought that Floyd was dying at that moment, while being filmed and he thought he could "get away" with it in today's environment where anti-police activists, Democrats, and the Democrat's compliant media outlets stand ready to denounce even well-justified after thorough investigation deaths in custody, he would have to be dumber than either you or BoreNextDoor.

I couldn't have said it any better myself.

bingo

And now we're going to get national police reform.
Reform that is not going to accomplish one damned thing
other than to handcuff good cops and their departments with
new procedures, the best that laypeople can dream up (like "assault weapon bans),
new scrutiny and most importantly of all, new paperwork to be filled out with every arrest.

Will this eliminate negotiated union contracts?
Honestly, I don't think it will do that any more than it
has an ice cube's chance in hell of eliminating "bad apples,"
(which don't really spoil the whole bunch girl except in shallow minds)
and more importantly, it is going to do not one damned thing to put The Story to bed.

They were angry yesterday
They are outraged today and tomorrow
come hell or high-water, they are going to dowse injustice.

It's what they do.
It has become their source of political power,
the basis for the continual shakedown of society for gain unearned...

Question: Who is paying for all George’s funerals?

I see they dragged his body down to Houston for yet another viewing and memorial service.

It’s getting to be a bit macabre...

I just assumed that a bunch of white Progressive leaders
banded together to pay for everything; it's not enough to just speak for minorities...

right?

Well, when the mindset is that they can’t take care of themselves, well, you know the rest...

He was murdered on Memorial Day. He’ll be remembered every year for a while. Better get used to it.
