The GB Memorial Thread

Big Salami passed away @2008, he was mainly a PG person but he might well be known to a few here as well.

Feisty Red Head was my roommate for a couple of years.

She had to leave her town for health reasons. She drove to Chicago, I flew to meet her there and I drove her car to live down here.

I miss her muchly.

She was so much fun, so sweet. I think of her every time I wear a silly hat.

Feisty died 11 May 2012, so it's well over two years since she moved on.

He gave me shit as a noob then was very funny and cool to me. He passed just months after I joined. Wish I got to know him better.

Yes, he loved to roast newbs, but he knew when to let up.

That felt like a real gut punch when I first heard about it.

I was unaware until this thread. I had PM'd with him off and on, and he was a good guy.

eagleyez was a friend of mine, and I was so sad to hear about him as well. T was a very kind soul.

Safe_bet Her partner Amy is using her account now, but Safe_Bet is really dead.
Misty_morning
A guy named Richard who was a dom.

What a great thread. I don't post here all that often now, but I recognise all of the names listed and feel sad that they've passed on.

I didn't know that Quoll had passed, he was such a lovely man, very friendly and helpful.

I still mourn Koalabear, we never met but talked often. His persona here was very different to the man himself. I still have the gifts he sent me.

RIP Literoticans :rose:

I miss Quoll with every fiber of my being. I was cleaning out my PM's a few days ago, and I read his last message to me, a "This reminded me of you," sent two days before his death. That little note brought him back to me for a moment, and it was a beautiful, bittersweet thing to have discovered.

Like an idiot, I never made a habit of backing up my files until recently, and I lost the hundreds of songs and images and communications we had shared when my laptop blew up last year. I haven't taken it in to have an expert look at it for fear that they'll tell me it's a lost cause. But I would give anything to have those mementos of our friendship back again. Anything to have him back again.

He was one hell of a human being, our Quoll.

I'm sorry I'm dead. I wish I'd known I've have bought myself a drink and ironed my Hawaiian shirt.

Problem Child was such a presence here. Bright, witty, and funny as fuck. I followed him around the board like a lost puppy.

Every time a Litster passes away, a discussion ensues about those we've lost in the past, and inevitably someone suggests that we should be keeping track.

So, I have begun this thread to maintain a list of those who we can reasonably confirm are gone, either because they were known personally to some here or because we have seen some proof of their demise.

In cases where there is some dispute, I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt, lacking an serious evidence to the contrary.

Please add any names that I have missed, I am sure there are some. And feel free to use this thread to reminisce if you feel inclined.

As of this writing, our departed.
