Craig Newman smiled with anticipation as he stared out the window of the plane. It was early evening and they were flying low for the final landing sequence. The dazzling lights of Sicily could be seen coming up fast and bright. He couldn't wait to see his exchange family.

Being 19, he would have been considered too old for the program. However, he had been held back a year in early grade school due to a few personal problems. However, he was able to overcome those problems, earning excellent grades throughout the rest of his school years. Normally students who joined the program had to be 18 or young, but an exception was made in his case. He was told that despite being in the program, there was a high chance he wouldn't be picked due to his age. However, he got lucky and was selected by a family from Italy.

The plane touched down on the asphalt was a couple of bumps before fully touching the ground. Even at night, Craig could tell the airport was pretty busy. The plane soon came to stop at their gate, powering down. As he gathered his backpack out of the overhead bin, the two people he had shared his row with wished him luck in his new school. He thanked them before following everyone off of the plane. He had to wait a few minutes to get his two large black travel back off of the luggage conveyor. Once he had them, he stepped out in front of the main doors, looking for his exchange family.

Hector Sierra looked at his watch again, a bit impatient to get things going, after all he'd had to reschedule half his afternoon meetings and such to be here.... his wife Eve thought it would be nice if he was here to personally pick up the exchange student staying with them.... so he'd relented and made time. Not easy when you are a Senior VP and General Manager, but he'd worked it out by juggling things a bit.... okay, his personal assistant did the actual rearranging of his schedule but it was with his help and suggestions.

Eva Sierra stood by her husband but wasn't as fancily dressed as him in his business suit, having gone with a tasteful summery dress with the weather being fairly nice for the day but was starting to regret the choice with the coming of the evenings coolness, still she wanted to make a good impression on their guest.

Nicole though wasn't as straight and poised as her parents, being a bit nervous as she heard stories and warnings about Americans.... especially young American guys.... and not all were good ones. She wasn't sure if she was going to like have this stranger in her home and going to her school.... though of course several people had already asked her to stop and introduce him when they came to school. At least he'd be a distraction from her worries with her boyfriend and technically fiancé Elliott who'd been acting weird lately.

All three's attention was suddenly drawn to a figure emerging from the building who looked to be their intended student and guest. "Over here, Craig dear." Eva called out to him and waved to get his attention.

He had known the family he was spending time with was well off, something that was a rarity for those chosen for the program. He had liked the look of them, at least from the family photo that had been given to him. He was high on the adrenaline of everything that was going on, feeling like he could run a marathon. His attention was quickly caught by the sound of the feminine voice calling his name. He smiled seeing the three of them further down the sidewalk.

He was a little surprised by how dressed up they all were, making him feel a little naked so to speak. He took a deep breathe before grinning and smiling as he made his way over to them. Hector had the look of not wanting to be there, while his wife looked the most excited about things out of all three.

"Sorry, the plane got a little delayed. I hope I'm not too forward, but I'm starving. The airplane food wasn't filling enough."

He stopped in front of them, sure the excitement was written on his face. He also knew he was probably going to sleep for quite a bit once he came down from everything.

"Oh poor dear." Eve comment as he mentioned being hungry. "We can stop for food for you.... right Hector?" She said, turning to look up at her husband who stood a good four inch above her in height, her dark brown hair bouncing a bit in it's short curly style which framed her fuller face nicely.

"I suppose so." Hector replied, reaching up to rub his closely trimmed bread and mustache that seemed a slightly lighter shade of brown than his short cut hair, and filled out his thinner face. "I believe i know a good restaurant nearby that should still be serving."

"You're hungry too aren't you Nicole dear?" Eve asked turning towards her daughter, who straighten some at her mother's voice.

"Yeah, i could eat." She answered with a part smile, her long brown-blonde hair seeming a bit out of place to her parents' both brunette hair, but still have the same green eyes as them, noticeable as she looked at Craig for a minute.

"Guess that settles it." Hector said, leading the way to his grey colored sedan, where they got in....

He continued to smile as Eve suggested they could stop for dinner on the way. He did have the feeling that Hector wasn't quite pleased with the way things were going, but seemed to go along with it despite the circumstances. Craig just hoped things would go alot better once he was settled in at their home, his new home for the next year or so.

"Dinner sounds wonderful. I also can't wait to get settled in."

He picked up his bags as he followed them to their car. He wasn't quite sure where to follow, so he followed behind them a little, making sure his bags didn't catch on anything as he wheeled them along on the pavement. He also thought both Eve and Nicole were very pretty, but kept his thoughts in check. Once at the car, he carefully put his bags in the back before climbing in the back seat with Nicole. Buckling up, he smiled. "Ready."
