Congratulations to the winners of the real contest. Now the rest of us fight it out for the dubious honour of coming LAST.

Count your votes, rating and views as of today and declare them in this thread to be entered in this AH special contest. Don't be shy. Join the rest of us in showing just how unappreciated some of our work is...

Rules for Last Place contest.
****

Order for coming last:

Lowest voted rating for a genuine attempt at a story multiplied by number of votes if less than 25 divided by 25.

So - if rating is 3.00 but only 12 votes the score would be

3.00 x 12 / 25 = 1.44

If rating is 3.00 but more than 25 votes, the rating stays the same.

I suggest ignoring number of reads except as a tie breaker when least number of reads would *win*.
****

Since the 'winner' actually wins nothing, it is pointless to cheat. To enter, all you have to do is declare your rating and votes at the time the real contest is decided.

For the last place contest, 1 votes are very valuable and 5s are bombs.

Og (whose decision is final unless you all gang up on me)

WEllllllll.... og.. I'll lay it out.. but alas.. I stand no chance!!!!

Blizzard Revisited Again 4.74 score 78 votes 19,378 views score 4.74

Lustful gained a vote overnight, lol. This is what it was:

I think you have me beat, Dream.

I leave you all in suspense about my real last place contender Earth to Earth the Non-Erotic story of a funeral. Here are the other results for Og:

Bird Protection: Rating 4.48; Votes 29; Views 6102

Golem: Rating 4.63; Votes 27; Views 7421

The number of views from those us of who have admitted our results so far is depressing. Earth Day obviously doesn't attract as much attention as Valentine's Day.

angelicminx has Hs on all entries.

dreampilot 69 has Hs on 2 of three entries.

My Golem has an H. I must be slipping.

What I learned - never write a nonconsent story for a contest.

SJ

I kind of think it would be a fun thing to have a genuine worst story contest. But it might be real hard to really implement.

As for the earth day worst: what of those that didn't enter? Aren't we already winners?

But it had twice as many views as the total of my three entries and more votes than the total of my three. And you have an H.

Og

whoopeeeeee.. i'm still in the running for last.. till og opens his mouth with his story

I believe that the idea of the last place contest is to foster the spirit of adventure... to stretch our bounds...

an award for ideas that flopped.....

Worst story? The AH were bullied by Svenskaflicka into writing a Chain Story "The Worst Chain Story Ever". Chapter 01 is in my list of stories in my sigline.

The DurtGurl Consortium wrote some marvellously bad stories. Check out stories by 'DurtGurl'.

Both the chain story and DurtGurl's works were intended to be bad. Writing your best and still achieving the worst rating is much harder to do.

As for those who didn't enter a story for Earth Day? Yes, you are losers in the sense that you didn't get the exposure and abuse that those who did enter had to endure. But perhaps you had more sense than most of us.

The next contest is National Nude Day July 14th.

I don't know this for sure, cause I'm new around here, but I think it's like they lottery, "Can't win if you don't play."

Allow me to solve this squabble now.
18 votes.
4.11
Hand it over.
:)
Already have something in mind for the sig.

Oh contrare my little chickadee (how's that cartoon line go again?):

That is a mere marketing ploy: If you do the math, you will find that the odds of winning the lottery are the same to six decimal places of precision if you do not buy a lottery ticket.

(and the powerball may go seven or more decimal places...)

Not so fast, youngster. 4.11 x 18/25 = 2.9592

There are others yet to declare their scores and I am still holding out on the score for Earth to Earth. No 5 bombing will help now. The score is that when the result of the main contest was declared.

I don't think you can post here, Softie. You did win the ED contest after all. :)

ah ha i get it...ED = erectile disfuntion and softie wins...it all becomes clear... :D

At the moment it looks as if aquaglide1 is leading the last place contest unless anyone else can claim worse than an adjusted score of 2.8016?

Anyone is eligible to post on this thread.

It is mathematically possible to win both contests with different entries.

That would be a double to celebrate - First AND Last.

SJ, sweetie, I guarantee you are going to win the AH 2005 award for best AV's.

Where d'you keep getting them from??

I've got no axe to grind cos I didn't submit so can I make a plea.

I've read and voted on every submission but it isn't easy. Isn't there some way that Manu can be persuaded to put a competition line under 'New stories' - he did it last year with Valentine's Day. I'm guessing, but I suspect readers would quite like the fun and thrills of a contest if we advertised a bit outside AH. Surely, for us and the Management, audience participation is what it's all about.

For what it's worth, my heartfelt congrats to the Earth Day trio - just shows what talent hides it's light under a bushel here.
