It appears an interesting comment and I always like longer quotes rather than shorter out of context ones but I'm not sure to what you are referring. It could be something that I would know about, had I watched the convention?

My point was whiners who think a prayer is needed at every political event are generally ones who look fondly on Ronald Reagan. I dunno. I thought the statement started off relatively balanced iand is correct factually more or less. The only problem I can see some people having with it is that at the end he is very clear that those that do believe can and should express those beliefs openly. What he leaves out is those who don't believe are equally free to express their incredulity.
