My name is Aminu Adetiba from Nigeria in the great continent of Africa. I immigrated here to the United States two years ago to join my father and I am a senior in high school here. I play football, the American kind and not soccer like in my home country and also play basketball. The coaches like me because I am very tall which works to my advantage. I was educated in english from a early age, my father was a diplomat and me and my siblings went to school in England. I like it here in the United States. It is better than England and offers more opportunity in collegiate sports which I have a scholarship in next year. Playing football is my life here, the coaches like me and I am the best wide reciever on the team. I have many receptions and yards with touchdowns. It is a thrill to hear the crowd cheer when I score or make a big play. But soon I recieve bad news. My grades are not good and if they do not improve I will not be able to stay on the team and lose my schlorship. This will require me to spend alot more time studying instead of going to the gym and lifting weights after school. The guidance counselor has advised me to apply into a tutor program that is offered to help me with my grades. I was hoping for a nice pretty female but I didn't get lthis lucky.
