Also, when he says no soda . . is he just talking about the sugary stuff? Vodka and Tonic with lime is a very refreshing drink and not sugary.

It was the combination of sugar and nasty acid in fizzy drinks. Think cola is worst.
Pretty sure bought tonic water has quite a bit of sugar and some acid in it too, maybe not so much. Similarly fruit juices.
Yeah, think it will have to be special occasions to splurge on vodka with mixer drinking
Or maybe I could deep throat a straw so it bypasses my teeth! Oh, but then I wouldn't get to taste it

The slow melt after half a dozen good swallows of the burgundy nectar.
The slow strip tease as the alcohol sheds the chains of the day and the mind drifts to places sometimes dark and familiar.

I love Merlot.
My online friends kind of mocked me about it. When the movie Sideways came out and it was all about Pinot Noir, remember that?
They said eveyone likes merlot. And if you compared merlot to poetry, merlot would be the Robert Frost of wines: accessibility, quaffable and easy on the palate.

Sounds good to me. I have enough problems in my life without my wine being complex.
