Yah, used to live with a couple who used to be stationed in Germany, and learned it from the Venna Haus Fraus. Try it with Panko mixed in with the breading, and fry using clarified butter as opposed to oil. Oh and take a fish oil pill, after.

Why a fish oil pill?

I can't spell it, but that plaque in your blood that causes heart attacks.

Hahahahaa! So the fish oil will make us feel less guilty for eating 2 billion calories worth of carbs.
I'm gonna start trying that.

I started using bread crumbs for most of my breaded stuff. I still do for meats and often use the Italian crumbs instead of plain. Then I learned about using diluted milk (2/3 water 1/3 whole milk) instead of eggs then dip into seasoned flour. Dunk and flour twice. What a difference. Especially on chicken. The coating sticks instead of sliding off. Needs a deep fryer but wow. Just keep on a rack rather than a plate.

I'll try the clarified butter route for the schnitzel.

Pre-posting, as I likely won't be around tonight. But if I were, this would surely be my headquarters for the night.

There wasn't enough wine. But then no one has been able to distill Lake Michigan and turn it all into bourbon, either. Life sucks, or, at least, certain episodes that we must all endure, do definitely suck.

There's never enough wine. Never.
