Ima eatin' supper. After I'm done, get a shower and get the clothes in the laundry, I'll quaff enough of this wine that perhaps I'm be drunk enough to post, yet not so drunk as to turn off my computer.

Well I know that water changes the ph of alcohol, and therefore probably the taste as well. I can see where just a few drops could do the trick.

I'm sure that's it, though I haven't done the actual analysis. I can only report that a couple drops of water added to a snifter of scotch will quite dramatically make the booze sweeter. I don't always do the make-scotch-sweeter thing, but when I do, I always use dihydrous monoxide.

no, I haven't had the pleasure.
until recently, I believe it was very difficult to obtain in the states.

Make certain when you do that you get the good stuff ... there is some stuff out there like Hill's (a czech brand) that is like drinking windex .. but the good stuff is just amazing ...

I'm a top shelf liquor kind of gal... don't worry - when I get around to trying it.. I will go for the good stuff.

speaking of whiskey... not that one should adulterate one's good whiskey with cola...lol

Awww, this kind of makes me think of my Dad. He wasn't much of drinker other than a beer with dinner at Saturday dinner. EXCEPT for when he had a cold, then he drank whisky and orange juice regularly. I made the horrible mistake of taking a sip once (ONCE) when I was about 13, and never went near that stuff again. <shudder>

Unless it was fresh-squeezed, he never drank OJ otherwise. :D

Friday would(will?) have been his 99th birthday. I miss him so much.
