Promised Land eggnog is pretty damned good for a commercial eggnog

I'm on my phone so when I click on things my fingers are too big so sometimes it hits something I didn't intend to hit. I started reading through a recently bumped thread (so I thought) and was surprised to see posts by me. I really didn't remember any of them. When I reached the last post of the thread I freaked out. I don't even feel comfortable talking about it...




I felt like maybe a joke was being played. A morbid and terrible joke...

I just made a mistake. A mistake that... I dunno... I felt like "who would have access to and post from this account? Why would they do that?!?" Then I looked at the dates and the topic and realized my mistake.

On a similar note, has anyone else out there ever seen/tried Root? I chased some down a few years ago in PA, and was happily impressed. I've heard there are other flavors, now, and want to try Snap (gingersnap liquor).

I did - I ordered a cocktail in Philly and had the bartender show me the bottle as I'd never heard of it before.

I make a ginger infused simple syrup to get ginger flavor in my drinks.

Not hung in effigy, unless you want to bring your collar and cuffs into play (joke). I do not tend to mix it with anything unless it's bad whiskey. If it's a good single malt or single barrel bourbon it's always neat or with a little cool water. Anything else takes away taste. Some whiskeys need the taste taken away, but usually not the ones I drink. For instance, there's one bourbon called Blantons ... oh goodness .. there's not enough o's in smooooth to describe it, it's definitely 'sippin' whiskey' because you don't want to rush anything that good ... rather like other things that come to mind in my inebriate state, but I'd best not talk about that any more right now ...
