Understood.
Jillian understood. Saskia ran a tight ship. There wasn't going to be any flexibility in the rules. Not yet, anyway. Not this early on in the game. Jilly knew that no matter how tight of a ship her bos might try and run, there would be special circumstances somewhere down the line. Whether or not she was one of those circumstances would remain to be seen. She wasn't at the current moment. But she could be...
She found that she operated better with a little latitude, a little freedom. But obviously Jilly was going to have to earn it, first, and she was fine with that.
She nodded in understanding to everything that Saskia said. All of the rules would, for the most part, be easy to follow...except for...
Just as Saskia finished instructing her to find Keldin, there was another knock at the door. She stood to let herself out, to open the revolving door that was Saskia's office. And, as expected, there stood Keldin waiting on the other side of it. She smiled sweetly to him and gave him a knowing wink. They had all known it was a matter of time and the boss had just sealed the deal. She was in.
Or out, as it were.
