What kills me are the kids who kill. It's just a gut-wrenching situation for everybody involved. I often think of those two boys who killed the toddler in England a few years back. They were very young...7, 8....and in the last year or two, I read they were released at age 18 with new identities.

The death penalty is about killing people. Its not really a matter of degree.
modest mouse said:So where do you draw the line in who should be killed?
Shopuld you draw that line? WHo draws it?
What acts merit death? What accused merit death?
... and what the fuck do you do when you kill innocent people?
perky_baby said:ugh, this is difficult for me to argue since I don't know the law, but I shall endeavor to tell you what I think in my ignorance.
I think people who have been convicted of murder with DNA evidence should be killed.
Should I draw that line, no. Lawyers, judges, the people I vote for should draw the line.
Death merits death, and I'm not talking manslaughter. "What accused merit death?" I'd only know on an individual basis. If you give me an example, I could tell you if I would vote for the death penalty or not.
Under proof of DNA and eyewitness and forensic evidence, I don't believe I would be killing innocent people.
