The Dark (open)

He looked at her for a moment and then raised an eyebrow, a bit surprised by her whole little speech there. He spoke softly to her, "Raven...I'm not sure what my stubborn attitude has to do with any of that." He smiled and kissed her forehead, "I make you feel the way you feel and treat you the way I treat you because I genuinely love you, which is something that I haven't been able to say in quite a long time." He smiled and then slowly began to trace his fingers over her body, "As for the way I make you feel inside..." He smirked at that and traced a finger over her sex again, "I happen to quite enjoy that too." He chuckled and then kissed her forehead, bringing his hands back up again, "I know that wasn't what you meant. I'm sorry. I probably just ruined the moment there." He smiled and rolled onto his side, knowing that she still wouldn't be going anywhere since her ankles were still tied to the bed, "Now...I suppose we should discuss that marriage thing that you mentioned."

She couldn't help but smile at his retort for her speech. "you being stubborn is part of who you are, which is part of why i love you" she responded before gasping at his fingers taunting her sex. She thought she would die "No Xavier, the moment is there as long as you are in it." she advised trying to regain composure as he rolled off of her. She wanted to turn to her side to face him but he still had her ankles tied to the bed.

Raven couldn't help but smile as he referred to the marriage thing. "I'm glad to have brought genuine love to your life." she smiled as her eyes looked at him adoringly. "so what is it you wish to discuss about marriage?" she questioned.

Xavier smiled softly at what she was saying and just lay there catching his breath and recovering. He then turned his head to look at her again and spoke softly, "Well. I suppose we should decide when, where, and all of those other important things." He looked down to notice that her ankles were still tied to the bed and smiled mischievously as he slowly rolled over to be on top of her again. He then kissed her quickly on the lips for a moment before breaking away from her, "We'll also have to decide who to invite. The wedding itself will have to happen at night. I'm not sure how that will work out." He smiled softly and slowly traced his fingers down her naked body again, "A full moon might be romantic. So maybe a night of a full moon?" He smiled and traced his fingers inward to tease over her sex briefly, "The where is an important piece too...hmmm..." He smiled, still teasing her sex, "I don't have anyone who I really want to invite, since beyond you, I don't communicate much with anyone, so I guess it is up to you to figure out the invite list." He smiled softly as he looked into her eyes, "I'll tell you what. If you can figure out where we have our wedding before you free your ankles, I'll keep going the way I was before we broke the bed." He raised an eyebrow as he looked at her, waiting to see if she'd take him up on the offer.

She smiled softly as he made his offer. "The place where i first kissed you" she said simply in response. It was the place where her new life began. Submitting into him on their second date. Knowing that she loved him, and he was the only man she would ever want in her life.
"As for people to invite, I think we should invite the family from the Italian restaurant. I don't really have anyone else that i can think of. You're the only one that matters to me." She sat up and untied her ankles then laid back down and faced him her hands going softly over his face and down his chest. "You are an incredibly sexy man have i ever told you that?" she questioned in a seductive tone.

Xavier smiled softly as he looked down at Raven for a few more moments, quirking an eyebrow at her actions. Really what he had planned was that she would make the plans and leave her ankles bound and then just continued to pound her into the bed like that, but with the way she had unbound them, he was unsure even if she wanted their little bit of action to continue. He had been unsure, at least until she had run her fingers over his chest and said that he was an incredibly sexy man. He chuckled and leaned down a bit so that he could whisper to her, "I don't remember you saying that, but I suppose I shouldn't argue with you over it in any case." He continued to smile as he looked into her eyes for a few more moments and then took one of the bindings that had been holding her legs and slowly traced it up along her back, "After all, you are a very smart woman, and I'm sure you would know something like that, right?" He smiled softly once the silk tie was up behind her neck and then he slowly brought the ends forward so that it would hang over her shoulders. He smiled softly as he looked at her and then slowly pushed himself back so that he was sitting down, looking down at her, "Can you get up under your own strength, still?"

It was amazing what being a vampire would allow her to do. Just by laying there with him she managed to regain a vast amount of energy. She smiled and sat up climbing upon his lap and suckling on his ear before whispering back to him.
"you're right, i am smart enough to know that you are an incredibly sexy man. But my mistake was never telling you before. From the first moment i had seen you in the club i was intimidated by your sexiness. I think my defenses went up simply do to that. A tall sexy man paying a bit of attention to me, too good to be true for a simple reporter. Her hands caressed over his chest and shoulders and down his back. "you see Xavier, i happen to be hopelessly in love with you, i want to be with you for eternity, and to make love to you for even longer. I want to bare your children if thats what you want, whatever it takes to make you happy.

He smiled as he looked at her for a few moments and then slowly brought his hand up slowly tracing his fingers over the side of her face. He continued to watch her and then spoke, barely above a whisper, "Well, my nighttime princess, I'm perfectly happy to spend all of eternity loving you, making love to you, keeping you close." He smiled softly and slowly dragged his fingers down the side of her face over her neck, "In fact, I would have thought that I'd be the one to suggest it."

She smiled softly up at him trying to contain her hormones as she took in what he said. He was in fact from a world that far proceeded her own. Xavier was from a time where women were courted, chaperoned, and were submissive to the will of their husbands. He's obviously had to adapt with time, but there may still be some things that he treasured. Raven often had merely spoken her mind without thought of consequence, and in doing so, she managed to take this away from him. Although it was trivial in some sense, it obviously was something that weighed on him. How could she make it right?

Closing her eyes for a moment she contemplated. slowly opening her eyes she looked at him. "It was important for me to reiterate the depth of our relationship, what it meant to me, what you mean to me. You've often expressed doubt, and i know that this is the first time you've allowed yourself to trust in a woman in a very long time. I thought that perhaps by purposing it would reinstall the security that i thought you were missing. As long as I'm with you Xavier, by your side, hand and hand for eternity, i am content. I do not need a ring or paper to solidify our love. But in my heart i do wish to be your wife one day. But i will not mention it again, for this is something that is important to you, so i will wait for you to purpose the offer when you feel the desire to.

Xavier blinked and looked up at her for a few more moments. He was trying to keep up with what she was saying. He narrowed his eyes slightly and then brought up his hand finally at the end when he understood what she was saying. He curled his index finger, catching it with his thumb and then lightly flicked her forehead, "Stop it." He stared into her eyes seriously for a few moments, "I'm not some sort of baby who has to get everything the way he wants or he won't accept it." He looked into her eyes and then closed his eyes taking a long breath, "Like I'd let you take something like proposing to me back." He let out a soft snort and then turned his head away from her. He took a long breath and then looked up at her for a few more moments, "I should tie you to the bed again, just to teach you not to take stuff like that back."

"oh like tyeing me to a broken bed is a bad thing" she said with a laugh and smirk as she rubbed her forehead. She was glad he was okay with what she had done. Well maybe not okay with, but had accepted it as part of her independent head strong nature.

"I was serious about what i said earlier about you teaching me about who i am now". I need to know about the strengths i possess and how to defend myself accordingly. As much as i love the idea of you being my Saviour for eternity, If we're ever parted i want you to feel comfortable that i can take care of myself."

Her hand traced over him lightly, and over his face. "Do you have any idea how irresistible you are?" she questioned in a soft whisper kissing his neck

He took a long breath, looking at her for a few moments and then letting out a low sigh. He then looked at her and spoke softly, "It depends on which strengths you are interested in learning about. You'll have to remember that I was a bit of a warrior when I was alive, so being a warrior in my current state comes naturally." He blinked as he looked at her for a few more moments, still smiling softly at the comment of how irresistible he was. He brought his hand up slowly, tracing it over the side of her face, "I could train you, and if we did it while my hand is still banged up, you'll probably have an appropriate handicap." He smiled softly and watched her, "Do you want to do that?"

She closed her eyes as his hand stroked her face and smiled listening to the sound of his voice. "a warrior you say" she questioned opening her eyes. "You haven't told me much of your past. I know that i know some of it, but theres not a lot on you as far as the archives go. You've actually stayed more under the radar of the society. Did you ever meet my great uncle?" she questioned inquisitively.

"In a little bit we can train if you wish, but first i want to hear about you. All that is and was you."

He smiled softly and looked up at her and then slowly shook his head, "It's a very long story, and not a lot of it is interesting at all." He traced his fingers over the side of her face, "I was a warrior, I met up with a female vampire. She turned me, and later betrayed me, and then she died." He thought about it for a few more moments before speaking softly, "After that my life sort of took a downward turn since there wasn't much left that I could do, since I could only be awake at night. I became a bandit for a while, it was fun, but not a good livelihood, and eventually I quit that life and decided to do some other things." He smiled softly as he looked at her, "I've been a nighttime security guard, that was a good one, for a while in there I was a painter." He shrugged softly, "When you've been alive as long as I have..." He shrugged softly.

"when i am alive as long as you have, i will still be loving you." she said kissing his lips lightly. She had more questions to ask, but there was time for those. "you're not one for reliving what was i see." She nipped his neck lightly as she ran her tongue along the small wound stealing a drop of blood. "i don't know what i would have done if you had given up on me" she said lightly as her nails went over his back.

"Promise me something Xavier", She looked at him seriously for a moment. "promise that you'll never give up on me, can you promise me that you'll never doubt my love for you?"

She didn't give him the chance to answer as her lips found his once again. Kissing him as if there were no tomorrow, and he was her last hope of life. Her body pressed against his as she clung to him. Fearful of what could have been without him in her life. The shock of the day had finally started to settle in. She had been strong when he was doubtful, but now she let the veil drop and the tears fall.

He smiled softly when she mentioned that he wasn't one for going into the past. The problem was that there were several hundred years of past to go into, and he knew that a lot of it would be like reading a biography written by someone who had a completely normal life and did completely normal things, the kind of person who really had absolutely no business writing a biography. He had stayed off the radar by being the kind of person who had no business writing a biography, or telling the story of his life, because the people who told stories about their lives were the people who were important for one reason or another, and the people who were important were people who no matter how had they tried could not stay of the radar.

He blinked at her request that he promise never to give up on her. He really hadn't ever planned to give up on her. He had planned to wander around looking for her until the sun game up and he was turned into a pile of ash, since he doubted that her kidnappers were going to take all of the precautions necessary in keeping a vampire, which meant that if he didn't catch up to her in time, it meant that both of them would be left as cinders. He had been about to tell her that he had planned to search for her until he found her or until the sun came up and ended his eternity, but instead, she had stopped him before he could utter a single word by placing one of those hot kisses upon his lips, her body moving forward clinging to him as if he was...well, at the moment he couldn't think of an appropriate simile. He supposed 'a very sexy teddy bear' would have come close, but he wasn't quite sure that was the direction that he wanted his mind to wander to at this point in time.

He brought his hands up, slowly running them down her back as suddenly she began to cry. He supposed that he had known that this was coming, but he had done his very best to try and soften the blow. Even his acceptance of tying her to the bed and pounding her until she couldn't walk had been a little step that he had taken in the hopes that it would lessen the blow of the day. He had thought that if perhaps she went through a situation where she was tied up and left without any control, but was still shown that she was safe and in his arms, that it might help her get over the event. Now that he looked back at it, he supposed the fact that he had been a sniveling idiot for a while and she had been the one to bring him back to normalcy should have also helped her since it put her into a position of power, and was helping her to cope with the problem through role reversal. He hated the idea of what this might have been like if he hadn't softened the blow of the day.

He slowly broke the kiss that they were sharing and gently patted Raven's back, "It's alright, my little kitten. You're safe here."

The comfort from his arms as he patted her back, was an enormous relief from the events of the day. The way he soothed her was effective, even the creating of a pet name for her. Locking her body tighter to him she allowed it to all surface. He didn't need to say anything his cooing, his sigh, the way he held her was enough.

Ravens emotions had taken over allowing her to place in perspective the possibility that they may have very well been parted forever. A life without Xavier, was hard to imagine. Even after the short amount of time they'd been together compared to most. But then again there was nothing normal about their relationship.

She had been secluded in a world of her own, surrounded by books of what once had been, drowned herself in telling other peoples stories, and spent a lot of time hiding from a wrong choice she'd made, whom continued to reappear like a bad dream.

Her eyes flickered as he seemed to rock her back and forth, his hand going over her hair and face with an occasional kiss on the top of her head. She was "safe" he said. "promise me" she whispered after the tears had stopped and her revelation over the terror had left.

"I'm tired of being his victim Xavier" she said softly. "I want you to teach and train me."

There was a new look in her eyes as if she was closing a door and opening another. There was a plan formulating in her mind, a plan that became crystal clear to her as she had made that request.

Raven had decided she would end Marcus' pitiful existence on the planet. It was the only way, she was done running, she deserved to be left in peace, and live with the man she loved. Unfortunately she had no experience in fighting. She had the strength, that much she was sure of, but she needed more. Xavier had once offered to do it for her, but she wouldn't ask him to.
She made the decision as she held Xavier tight, that nothing would part them again, she would see to it.

Xavier looked into the eyes of the girl as she asked for the power to do all of these things, the power to strike down those who would rise up against her. He took a long breath and brought up his hand, gently placing it on top of her head, "I can train you, but it will take a while." He smiled softly and slid his fingers down the side of her face, "And it won't be easy." He leaned forward, gently kissing her briefly. He smiled softly when he slowly broke the kiss. He smiled softly, "Are you sure you want to stick with something like that?"

He smiled softly for a few more moments. He then took a long breath and then began to push himself up. He smiled, still looking at her and then then reached over and held his hand out to her, "If you'd like to train, I can take you somewhere to do that."

((Sorry. I'm a bit braindead on this one))

Raven nodded and took his hand rising from the bed. She went to her bag and pulled out her sweat pants and sports bra, and dressed before him. "yes" she replied as she placed her hair upon in a pony tail. "I am ready, and will do whatever it takes to give you the comfort that i would be ok." yes there was more to it then that. She was wanting to learn how to defend, but also to kill.

She watched as he dressed and came up behind him wrapping her arms around him. " i love you Xavier" she said softly. Raven wasn't sure if she was trying to reassure him, or for the guilt she was having over not sharing her plan. Afraid perhaps he would stop her, or do it for her.

Xavier had dressed in a simple pair of baggy pants, and that was as far as he had gotten before Raven had wrapped her arms around him from behind and then assured him that she loved him. He turned his head slowly, taking a hold of her wrists and stopping her from pulling away. He then spoke softly to her, "I love you too, Raven." In all honesty, the way that she was acting now was a bit suspicious to him. It made him feel like she was trying to convince him to do this, which didn't make him feel very comfortable with it, because if she was trying to convince him to do it, there was a reason that he might have not wanted to do it. He narrowed his eyes slightly and then let go of her wrists slowly.

He took a step away from her and then began to head out of the bedroom and into another room that was much larger but didn't really seem to have any furniture. It did however seem to have other things in it, such as several wooden, and bamboo swords that looked like they might have come from Japan, and several other training weapons and items. He smiled softly as he thought about all of them. He had definitely enjoyed using the wooden weapons in training, and wondered if perhaps Raven was going to start judging him for having them. He sighed softly as he waited for her to catch up with him, and wondered just which part of training he should start with.

He smiled softly and turned his head to look back to where Raven was coming in from, "Those clothes might not be in the same condition that they are in now after we are done here."

Raven smiled when he mentioned her clothes might be ruined. "well you can buy, or make me new ones" she teased. She didn't really pay that much attention to the tools he had. "Those are interesting looking" she said to his assortment of weapons and training devices.
In honesty she didn't pay much attention to them. She was sure that each had their purpose and he would teach her with them with time. This would be something other then sex they could to do together.
"I'm excited" she said with a childlike smile. It would be good to find something to focus on, that would benefit her plan. She hoped he didn't ask because then she would have to tell him the truth. She swore to herself she would never lie to him. That would be worse then anything she could ever do. He didn't deserve that.

He smiled softly, looking at her for a few moments. He then slipped into a fighting stance, looking at her for a few moments, while he waited for her, "First I am going to have to ask you to start. Your goal is to pin me to a wall or to the floor." He watched her carefully, "I need to see what kind of fighting style you already have, and that can really only happen in the middle of battle." He watched her for a few more moments before bringing his hand up slowly, keeping his palm and fingers flat, "So come forward and do your best."

Raven was half tempted to simply seduce him to submission. But he was being serious, and she wouldn't learn if she goofed around. My god he looked sexy though. So firm and manly, she'd have to keep this image in her head when she did actually pin him to the bed later.

She watched him and studied his posture, she knew nothing about fighting other then what she saw in the movies. The only thing she could think of to get him down would be to swipe his legs out. The only way to get him against the wall would be to fight him back against one. Wait..she was a vampire she had strength. She mimicked the pose he had and started moving forward moving her arms a bit quicker as she drew near kicked toward his knees.

He smiled softly as she began to rely on her latent skills, and instincts, the skills and instincts that had become part of her the moment that she had become a vampire. He chuckled softly and immediately dropped his hand, his fingers closing around her ankle. The speed and strength of a vampire was one thing, but it really meant nothing when compared to the experience that he had developed over the years. He held onto her ankle for a moment and then let go to give her free movement again, "Very good. The knee is a good weak point. You are thinking." He smiled as he looked at her for a few more moments and then took the defensive stance once again, "Now. Again."

She moved toward him a little quicker this time, it all seemed kind of natural. As she went toward him the same way as if she were going to kick him again. But this time went for his throat.

This time, instead of moving quickly to block the attack, he simply ducked. He then brought himself up, and twisted Raven's body around, pulling her back against him so that her back was pressed against his firm and muscular chest, her round bottom pressed back against him in a different way. He sighed softly, "The throat is a good point of attack for a surprise attack, or for a fatal blow. Because it is so close to the face, it is an easier attack to predict because you can actually see it coming, and because the target you are aiming for is smaller than a torso, it is easier to dodge than a shot to the lungs, or gut." He smiled softly, keeping her pinned against him for a few more moments, "You would be better to attack the gut for a short term immobilizing attack, since it is a larger target, and usually results in your opponent doubling over. It is also far less often fatal." He smiled and let go of her, taking a step back so she could move again, "Do you have any other ideas for attack?"
