Bluereign.. Sorry baby I just had to crash your thread, and no I don't think I have any Czech in me, however I go have some German but mostly Native American. lol But I do have an idea. If we were to make love, does Czech sperm count? lmao Hey just a thought babe. hehe Hugs,

All I know it is a confussing heritage. Shrugs. All my life was told Czech. Then after the USSR came down my one Aunt went into the whole Maravian (sp) Bohmemian and what not.
One thing I was told I am a descendent of Ubraca (sp) some famous artist from way back when.
Prague I heard was lovely also. A friend of mine went over there last year to study. It is inexpensive still and beautiful from what I am told. Some day I will get there.

if i remember correctly, central europe was the setting of many wars back in the day between countless powers: the prussians, the russians, the austrian-hungarian empire and whoever else. a lot of the countries that exist today are relatively new to the scene. poland didn't exist for ages. less then a decade ago the czech republic was part of czechslovakia( i know that is spelt wrong, i have no clue how to spell it) and before ww1 i believe it was part of the a-h empire. there are a lot more ethnic groups in europe then the map would lead you to believe.
as i said i have bavarian in me, not germans. when they came over to the us there was no germany. germany didn't become a proper nation until sometime around the 1870's about the same time as the franco-prussian war.
anyway, i've rambled enough. hopefully you get what i'm saying: european history is complex and confusing.

we had an exchange student from germany at my highschool once who brought pictures of his hometowns celebration of it's 1000th year of existence. we have nothing to compare to that depth over here. michigan has been a state for only somewhere around 165- 175(?) years.
this whole continent is only 500 years old, by our cultural standpoint. that german kids village is twice as old as our whole continent. think about that.
