What is the best way to cure a hangover?

I've actually never been hung over...however, I know that's it is due to dehydration. Drinking lots of water before, during, and after you consume alcohol limits the effects of a hangover later.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...

As bi says water, water, water you can go with some of the sports drinks or even pediasure to boost your electrolite levels back to somewhere near normal.

I never suffered from a hangover when I was drinking, as I used to drink a large 32 oz cup of water right before bed, and have another on the night stand for when I got back from a bathroom break in the middle of the night.

Second thing out of bed in the morning, hit the tap for another cup, and go into the morning wake up routine of coffee, coffee, coffee.

Don't go straight into the coffee as it dehydrates you further.

AS said... water. Water before, some water during, and water after.

Ritz crackers or bread help prevent tummy troubles.

Some aspirin or motrin before to help prevent aches and pains.

The best way, though, is to just plain learn how to drink. Put a little food on your stomach. Avoid mixing drinks. (Liquor before beer, never fear. Beer before liquor, never sicker.) Drink at a moderate pace. If you are comfortably sloshed, then slow it down. If you start to go over the edge, then excuse yourself, do the throat tickle and get it over with.

Once you get in tune with your own groove, you can drink all day and all night.

Surfing the net drunk? Yeah. Done it.

I've done it before... Several times.

I actually started talking to someone here on Lit one night while I was drunk (I started a thread begging for sexual favors )... It led to a relationship that lasted for 17 months.

It's been a while since I've had a hangover.

Long before we met, my hubby and his ex went to a dinner/dance celebrating the 50-year anniversary of the organization that they worked for. Both of them got pretty shitfaced. My hubby had a three-day hangover, and he's never had a hangover since.

Yes, and I've posted on Lit as well, but I don't do this very often. My drubnken posts tend to be typo-ridden, which means that I'm doing some furious editing the next day.

As stated above water water water. I also drink a very large glass of water before bed when consuming alcohol, and I take a couple of aspirin.

As for surfing while drinking, yes...yes I have.

I thought alcohol and acetominophen (aka Tylenol) shouldn't be mixed because of the potential for liver damage.

What is the best way to cure a hangover?

My best friend use to be a volunteer fire fighter captain. After a night of being out drinking we'd go hit the fire station and take a few swigs off an O2 bottle. The hangovers were gone in a few moments. I never come across anything that worked that well.
